Hmmm! Not sure I would gain a lot from that pop up. I have already assigned the map mode/range to a hat switch on the stick as the only thing that bugged me was having to look down regularly to turn the knobs. ( I wonder whether real B733 pilots would have to do that? Surely their hands would be able to feel out the knobs just from experience). The mini EHSI appears for a moment no matter which direction you are looking & you will see 2 of them when looking at the display. For me it only then disappears when you move the mouse, hat button, or change views.

I just followed this thread, VR might be an interesting toy, but the price tag is and remains and big hurdle. Not every European customer is willing to fork out 300-400 euros for an equipment that is only of use for a hobby. There are more posts on the X-Plane 11 Linux topic then on the VR in X-Plane 11. VR is indeed an intersting tool for visualisation of architecture, modelisation. But I assume that a computer able to handle the full 3D of a flight is not sitting on many X-Plane users desktop. Laminar might act assuming a wealthy American customer base, but the rst of the world may have other priorities.

FMOD: Yes and no. No in that it doesn't use FMOD. Yes in that it has its own 3D sound engine that does the same thing as FMOD prior to FMOD actually being used in X-Plane. When the switch to FMOD comes, I would not anticipate much difference in how you hear the sounds since the two sound engines essentially are equal. PBR: Yes, the 737 has PBR. The core team consists of four. It becomes six if you add in contributions from Ben and myself.
