  1. The inner nose gear door is of utmost importance to the whole IXEG team, and especially to me. It is without argument probably the most pivotal area of the whole airplane - and we had to hold off until now to really texture it well and do it justice. Thanks for your patience! I have spent way too many minutes lingering near the inner nosegear door during my outside checks... one time the First Officer came down to look if anything was wrong, just to find me staring at the inner nosegear door with that dreamy smile on my face. Needless to say, we left late that flight. He also stood, admiring the beauty of it, until the ramp agent walked over to ask if we could finally get going. After we explained sheepishly, he couldn´t help but see our point, so the three of us stood and stared for a few more minutes. I later asked my employer if I could go ahead and launch my own (pay to visit!) website of "www.nosegeardoorsinside.xxx.com", with some really juicy pictures of that looker of a nosegeardoor, but they said no . I am happy that someone else is sharing my affection with this - often overlooked - very special area of the aircraft. Jan PS: I can´t believe that the 737.org is not even featuring a section about the nosegear doors!! Slackers!

  2. We have stopped giving ETA's since they historically have not been very accurate anyway (Our spare time is unpredictable when you have full time jobs, kids and family) What I can say is that the team is working hard on getting a XP11 version ready as soon as possible. Basically To do; Compatibility fixes (APU, engine, cockpit lights, ground model etc etc reported stuff that you are aware of) Take advantage of the new reflections (as you have seen a couple of examples of here) Updated liveries Complete flight model recalibration due to new atmosphere and engine model Other minor updates/fixes while we are at it. ..and progress is good in all areas

  3. I have written a Lua script for cabin crew announcements. It plays them throughout normal flight (no jump in the middle flights supported) and currently supports the following: "Welcome on board" "Safety instructions" "Seat belts on" and "seat belts off" "Drinks and meals" "Start of descend" "Before landing" "Arrival (after landing)" It also announces some commands on behalf of first officer. It will operate if you follow all general flight procedures, later I will describe trigger logic in detail. It also supports turnarounds. I have not tested it beyond normal flight flow (like failures and similar). Script is controlled through two first officer's audio control panel receiver switches: FLT INT and PA. Normally the are turned on and do not require any adjustments. FLT INT is responsible for first officer commands while PA is responsible for cabin crew announcements. You can turn them to adjust the volume or depress them to turn them off. Thus you can turn off first officer if you prefer to perform cabin calls by yourself and you can turn off cabin crew (but what's the sense then). To use the script you have to install FlyWithLua and unpack archive contents into 'scripts' folder (so that the script resides in the root of this folder). IXEG_Cabin_Crew.zip

  4. It's odd; some Mac users report clouds don't appear at all with HDR off, and some report graphical artifacts. Naturally, it works perfectly here with HDR on or off, so I'm really not sure what's different about the Mac models that have trouble with it. However - with XP 11, you should be able to run with HDR on without a problem. So for now I'd stick with that as a workaround if this is affecting you.

  8. I read somewhere that Real Wether Connector is not limited by the three or in v11 six cloud layers X-Plane provides - is that right? The results I get seem as if RWC could workaround that limitation and gives a very different cloud positioning. Don't get me wrong, I don't have troubles with RWC, I am just interested in this point as this limitation ist something other people (and developers) are reffering to as a downside of XP. And, I don't like technical myths and like more knowing how things really are.
