X-RAAS: Runway Awareness and Advisory System View File X-RAAS is an open-source plugin that simulates the Honeywell Runway Awareness and Advisory System. Version 2.0 is a complete from the ground-up rewrite of the original X-RAAS FlyWithLua plugin. Please note that this is not just an upgrade of the old plugin and cannot be simply downloaded and plastered over the old 1.0 version. See below for details on how to install this plugin. INSTALLATION X-RAAS2 is a standalone plugin written in C and as such no longer requires FlyWithLua. To install the plugin, unzip the contents into: <X-Plane>/Resources/plugins. If you have been using X-RAAS 1.0, be sure to remove it from FlyWithLua/Scripts, otherwise you will get strange doubled annunciations. NEW FEATURES FROM VERSION 1.0 X-Plane 10 & 11 compatible New configuration GUI: no need to mess around with config files anymore. The config files method is still supported, refer to section 2.1 of the included user manual for details on how to migrate existing customizations from version 1.0. Much improved performance: no more stuttering when Lua decides to collect garbage on slow systems. No more audio compatibility issues: this resolves audio compatibility issues with 3rd party addons such as Ground Handling Deluxe and the LES SAAB 340A (among others). More sensible automatic scenery alteration detection and scenery data cache rebuild. The cache rebuild is now also much faster. Much more fine-grained control over each RAAS monitor. Nicer text rendering and substitutable fonts & sizes. Ability to switch between "LONG LANDING" and "DEEP LANDING". User manual rewritten in LaTeX with clickable hyperlinks. Much more streamlined embedding into 3rd party aircraft avionics. The avionics integration guide is now a separate PDF manual with much more detail on how fine-tune the embedded software and how it compares to and interacts with a stand-alone installation. Yes, you need the GNS430 folder in Resources....this folder contains the files needed by the specific GPS unit in the SAAB. If you still have XP10, install it there and then copy that folder across. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Patients is a virtue! I'm simply amazed at the accuracy and perfection in this ac. Every time I fly this ac, I encounter hardly any probs aside from an occasional soft gizmo crash (from an fmc input) which can be rebooted from the gizmo menu allowing the flight to continue. That only happens 1% of the time! My conclusion: this is the best ac *ever* made for x-plane. As for X-Plane 11, hardly a problem but I look forward to the implementation of 11's advancements into ixeg's ac. Thanks for a beautiful creation! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As important as it is to register an issue or a perceived issue it is just as important to retract a complaint about an issue. I am retracting my complaint regarding the autopilot not engaging. I reinstalled the CRJ 200 to XP11 Beta 2 and set up a KLAX to KDEN flight with an SMO waypoint (only 4 miles away I know) and had a fantastic roll and liftoff. After setting a heading to intercept just short of the SMO waypoint the autopilot locked on and all was right with the world. I accept full responsibility for 'pilot error'. The CRJ 200 is a fantastic model and I would suggest that anyone who loves XPlane 11 simming should add the XAviation CRJ 200 to their collection.

Ok, took a few shots for you guys - so you know that we are not making this stuff up : Distance to go and ETA for next active waypoint displayed on top line of EHSI: Improved symbology when IRS units not aligned: INOP labeling on the TERRAIN button of First Officer (yes, we are working on having it display on his side, too). Also new EGPWS control panel: INOP label on logo light switch if winglets are fitted: lbs labeling on the fuel gauges if imperial units are chosen: Opening cockpit door (note that the cabin is still WIP and will improve in the future (better 3D/textures/lighting): TERRAIN ON DISPLAY button, and TCAS symbology (showing a proximity traffic): Cheers, Jan

Ok, I guess we can see the picture already. MYTH CONFIRMED, simmers are VNAV addicts.. Here is what the real pilots say Climb 73% Descent 20% Approach 5% The reasons real pilots do not use VNAV as much on descent/approach are several, here are some below... . So, VNAV being buggy is obviously not just a sim issue. The interesting part though is that real pilots don't use it if they don't trust/like it, but simmers apparently insist on using it anyway... weird, maybe our VNAV is less buggy than the real one (unlikely) Another major issue is that ATC tends to mess up your (vertical) flightplan on arrival making it hard to keep up with the FMC.
