  1. I am very sorry that you are so angry to not find this in our list for patch 1.1. We realize that it is the single most important feature in a virtual aircraft for some users, and I fully respect your descision not to fly our plane anymore until this is added, but I will miss you in the virtual skies, though! Cheers, Jan

  2. We are starting to get questions about this so I thought I'd start a topic to explain and clarify how things work in XP and what you can expect ahead. As you know all of us at IXEG are old timers and have been developing aircraft since XPv5 or so, (like 15-20 years ago) and have been through this process many times before. Since it's been years since XP10 got released we assume a big portion of the current user base have not experienced a new XP version run change and what this actually MEANS to your favorite aircrafts. Basically, in a new XP run, it is "tradition" for Austin to implement lots new flight model stuff. Some new stuff, some big stuff, some minor tuning here and there of various things. Typical ones are; Thrust (engine) Lift Drag Ground model Controls etc. Also, this usually takes place throughout the entire beta phase (where we are now), and by experience will continue through to at least XP 11.1 when things start to stabilize. During this phase, XP11 is a moving target flight model wise, and attempts by the designers to chase austin's tail and "fix" flight model related stuff is a waist of time because chances are big things will change again in the next beta. So designers tend to hold off for a while before we start looking at it. THEN at some point we start looking at it, and usually we discover more errors/bugs/new stuff in the new FM, which again leads to debates with Austin and hunt for documentation. Also, it is tradition for Austin to tune stuff that he does not mention in the release notes, so there are usually a few surprises. Further, LR policy is that the designers have to prove they are right, and LR is wrong, not opposite... So sending Austin emails like "Hey, the thrust has changed 20%, fix it!" is not going to change anything. So basically you have 3 choices as a designer; Prove to Austin you are right (takes a lot of time, knowledge, effort and documentation) Reverse engineer your own flight model (Also takes a lot of time and effort) Pretend your aircraft is performing just fine, ignore user reports, and do nothing So basically, as it looks today, all quality aircraft will have issues that needs to get fixed moving from 10 to 11. For those aiming at the highest level of accuracy in the FM (like IXEG) designers *might* need to do a complete recalibration of the aircraft. This is not a trivial task as you can imagine, XP's FM is far more complex than e.g. FSX SOOOoooooo, what do we know at this point about XP11 PB8 that might/will affect us; Drag has changed Ground model has changed Engine model has changed As we digg deeper into XP11 we might find more things, but we'll see. Like I said, this is perfectly normal It is just a phase everyone has to go through and everyone needs to be patient. Kind of like moving from FSX to P3D from a designer point of view. There is no "quick fix", this is hardcore engineering and programming. The good news is we will do all this work for free, and in the mean time, we recommend using XP10 if flight model is important to you M

  3. Captains, While the HotFix server is temporarily down, I have created a temporary installer solution which will update your current 737 to 1.0.7. Simply download and run the installer included in the zip. Click here to download. Thank you for your patience today as we worked through some things. Hopefully this helps to heal some of the waiting that's gone on!

  4. Ha, see any of my sad plane maker concoctions over the years lol... that hanger would fly much better I bet, and sure don't take my comment as a knock, just a request. Thanks for noting and responding, and congrats on an awesome creation! Great aircraft, I have many great memories of the 737 in the early years when my dad flew them for Piedmont/USAir. Many standby flights on these ha, just hoping to get a seat, and ecstatic when it was a window :-) He's now flying the A330 for American after the merger, but this is the plane I flew on the most. Great memories! Glad to see such an epic simulation of it!

  6. Yes, nothing was changed in that regard, iirc.

  7. I can understand your frustration and that you would like a faster update. However, some of your claims are simply untrue or grossly exaggerated. This actually takes away some of the power of your argument. The plane was released in late April 2016. The last update to the plane was hotfix 1.07, it was released June 26th of 2016. In my calender that makes it about 6 months without an update - can you explain how you calculated the "almost 1 year now"? I wish we could release the update sooner, but it isn´t possible. Jan

  8. Sounds great, thank you for the update. For me the most important is the VNAV and LNAV stability. Atleast getting one of them in this update is quite cool in my dictionery

  9. A bit disapointed that there's not much Love for the FMC considering the plane came out nearly a Year ago now. But thanks nevertheles.

  10. Sorry but based on a few years experience with JAR products, the companys goals are just to throw another half finished product on the market to gain revenue - the permanent new small beta packages they provide are generating new problems and then need a new beta to fix these again. In my honest opinion, they should stop - take their time to make a complete fleet overhaul system and modelwise and release a good .1 version with all the problems fixed. But instead they're going to give as probably a new A340 which isnt long haul capable as the A330 is due to MCDU failures - and maybe a flyable short range A319...? I'm definetly no customer without seeing any new reviews about their products because I'm tired of their philosophy... dont get me wrong, just my opinion.

  11. Really odd that some of the users are so bothered by those desiring yet another realistic and immersive looking effect such as 'wingflex'. I guess I could bothered by turbulence, and other weather conditions that affect how a plane feels and flies. I was stunned to see that an addon like this has no wingflex. It's a bit of a deal breaker for me. Heck, even some default aircraft have wingflex. EADT has wingflex and so does JARDesigns A320. IXEG should as well. It may be minimal but it is still noticeable and therefore deserves to be included in the product.

  12. It seems to me , that you all guys have interest in defending you friends developers. We can eat without spoons and knifes too, but I dont think you do this, like we can fly without wingflex. But nowdays it is important to have wingflex. If you dont want it go to Xplane 5 and fly on windows 95. I wonder , why you write something here and make developers never even think about wingflex. Shame on you !
