  1. This was my longest X-Plane 10 flight ever! A whopping 12.5 hours! The flight was from KJFK New York to RJAA Tokyo Narita. Please enjoy the following screenshots with a little bit of commentary. Flying over the Bering Sea at 34,000 feet Another [attractive] picture of the ANA 77W 77W in landing configuration and final approach into Tokyo Narita Short Final on RWY 34L Touchdown! at Tokyo Narita. That concludes ANA flight 9. My only wish is a beautiful pay ware quality Narita Scenery!

  2. So, my partner in crime Javier (who made the original FSX sceneries) sent me the coordinates and sped a process that took me a month with Lanai (two textures in FSX) up to ten minutes for Molokai (three textures). Anyways, here are some early, low-resolution previews of Molokai. Maybe I'll try to pump out Niihau before August is over since it has no airports at all and will be about the detail of Kahoolawe.

  3. Hi Jim No I haven't shared it, as to me it would be like saying he didn't do a good enough job. I'm just making what little improvements are left to make it as good as it possibly can, within the limits available. I am amazed just how near the real thing he has got it though. The only bits I'm adding now are to add the galley underlights, which he probably missed, as they don't show up in most photos.

  4. Hm. Well, I could dig up which datarefs we use to see if you're outside, but the SoundMaxx controls aren't exposed via datarefs I'm afraid. So there's no way to adjust them from a script. Do you think ambient sound should be around 30% lower when inside in general? If so that's good feedback, and certainly something I can work into any SoundMaxx updates we might do in the future.

  6. Is this Denis Krupins 300 ? Have you shared this with him ? BTW, he is a great plane maker. One of my favorites. Never mind, saw your other posts. Nice work, just so happened it was the planer flew in X-Plane to going to add these. Thanks

  8. Provided the installers actually contain them, Philipp. In this instance, that was more the question. Our installers do not dump this directory in this folder as explained by Colin.

  9. Those are the _installers_ for the Visual C++ redistributable libraries (msvcrt.dll and other dlls). The _installers_ can be safely deleted. They are unpacked by the installers of the parent products (like the CRJ, Skymaxx, and probably other addons) and then launched in the background to have the msvcrt.dll and similar files installed in the appropriate location of Windows (C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64 respectively). So you CAN delete the installers left behind in the X-Plane directory. Nuke them, nothing bad will happen. You CANNOT delete the MSVCRT.dll from C:\Windows\System32 because that will cause many software (not only X-Plane plugins) to fail. Philipp

  10. Hello everyone! Some updates: Lanai will be released without forests or custom city object layout. It just wasn't looking very good.Molokai will hopefully be released with forests and city object layout.I've gotten my hands on hi-res TIFF format elevation data so I'm going to stick it in Mesh Tool and see what happens, but not for Lanai. I'm sick of this island. Just kidding, I love the place, but I made too many mistakes that would take forever to correct early on that have been mickey-moused into working over the months, so the new mesh wouldn't even line up with it.Lanai will be uploaded next Thursday. This will possibly be the last Hawaii Photoreal to be uploaded first to X-Pilot.
