  3. So... I haven't released anything recently, but I have about 10 projects in purgatory that I haven't announced. Tonight I went on a rampage and developed a library replacement package of HD lines to replace the default (awful) lines in XP10. So far it makes every default-asset using airport feel and look way better. I'll be releasing this sometime this week, with a few different colour choices (no sun-dried tomato, sorry). Anyways, here's what I'm excited about. Yes, I (ME) am excited because I've never made anything particularly useful. Without further ado, a screenshot!

  5. OK its was initially made for XP9 now upgraded to XP10-64 ( they are working on the autopilot) OK, is was not so very good textured an normalmapping was missing. OK it suffers the same grayish textures due to a mistake in the OBJ files I spoke about lately. ( see for explanation this post http://forums.x-plan...939#entry786485) or http://forums.x-pilot.com/topic/6474-when-colors-are-dark-and-dull/#entry69642 BUT , once it was payware and now it is FREE With edited OBJ files and added normals it has the looks of payware. This livery including normals and customised OBJ files will be available soon.

  8. X-Plane a smaller community than P3D ? How is this possible ? Prepar3D is only for students, developers, professionals, only for Windows, and only for purposes other than personal/consumer entertainment.

  9. Yep, I've got it and you're right - it runs great on my computer too. I know X-Plane is a bit different but it could affect X-Plane if P3Dv2.1 gets great performance. The one BIG downside for P3Dv2.1 is the OOM's (32bit). If P3D ever goes to 64bit, it's going to be THE simulator. I really like X-Plane and really wish that updates and addons would come along quicker but I do understand that X-Plane is a smaller community.

  13. A couple of screenshots generated in the Netherlands around Amsterdam. This is an incredibly detailed area inside OSM, and the results show. People have mapped forest types, and correctly tagged landuse, forest types and even the height of almost every building. This just shows the potential of using OSM data inside X-Plane :-)

  15. I dont want anything new in version 11, just want them to perfect what we allready have and make it stable and working with 64bit. Better to stop for a moment and establish the platform, fix the bugs and make sure it works befor introducing something new all the time
