Didn't see any compelling reason not to choose Windows 8. I've used it and like it and haven't seen anything that suggests it's in any way inferior to 7, aside from people grumbling over UI changes. I haven't read anything that suggests it's *better* then 7 either, so it just came down to personal preference. Windows will largely be for simming and gaming, I'll also be running a version of linux on its own drive for programming work.
You are the only person claiming to have critical performance issues. (single digits) You are the only person claiming to have an issue with XACARS. You are the only person unwilling or unable to provide evidence of the above. This case is now closed. Good day sir.
I've been using Windows 8 for about 6 months. Have nothing to complain about. The biggest concern for many is that the usual Windows Start menu.
In Windows 8 it's a "full screen start menu", where you can place and reorder shortcuts and gadgets in whatever fashion you like.
I actually like it.
The usual desktop with windows and explorer and whatever is intact. The biggest visual difference is that everything is flat. No shading and fancy color effects. It looks very clean and easy on the eye. Best thing Microsoft has done in a long time for me.
My short experience with Windows 8 has in general been more stable than Windows 7 on the same hardware.
Hey, guys, We've done a lot of work over the last few weeks to upgrade a lot of the bay area and in preparation to announce a new, big enhancement/feature to this product as a whole. We are very close to posting new shots, and more importantly, MUCH closer to a release! Keep your eyes peeled here over the next few days!
Honestly arb65912, this is such an amazingly selfish response! I hope you understand that other people are investing their time trying to get the information they need to find answers for your problems, but you're willfully thwarting any attempt! If you're not serious about working out your issues with the SAAB then quit moaning fer crying out aloud! Who cares mate! It's not pertinent to solving the issue. This thread is about working through issues with the SAAB ... Presumably you're here to go through a fair process and get resolution ... but it sounds like you're here to vent your spleen. Imagine .. a lunch time scene at a construction site ... somewhere in the universe the amazing Peanut Butter Sandwich Parable unfolds ... Sol (opening his lunch box): Dang-it! I've got peanut butter sandwiches again! I ferking HATE peanut butter sandwiches! Why do I ALWAY's get peanut butter sandwiches?! Dave: Hey Sol, why don'tcha just tell the missus not to make you peanut butter sandwiches? Sol: What'cha talking about Dave?? Don't be a silly-solly ... I'm single mate, I make my own sandwiches ... (Btw, we all make our own sandwiches ...)
Your time must be really valuable.... That's very generous of you. No, he is suggesting that Carenado products in your log will not help us diagnose SAAB problems. Frankly, that should have been obvious.
Austin had no part whatsoever in anything....Lets get that straight! I have to apologize to the community, this project has become frustrating at times and if poked enough I have been known to lash out. With that said me and Sun-Dog have reviewed our options and we will continue to move forward. BTW My relationship with Sun-Dog has been productive/fun during this whole process. I am not offering up any more than that guys so lets just hold down the speculation..... I can understand some confusion with my outburst and I am a bit ashamed that I lost my cool but I am going to position our project in the future to maintain a better level of control over our progress....
