  1. Systems done! More than 3000 lines of programming. People have to stay in limits to not break this baby!! And be careful with cabin temperature if you open the door or window you all the heat can scape!! It has really COLD and dark situations!

  3. After 2 days of adjusting, I've managed to fully stabilize it under autopilot. At least on my end. I'll send Cameron an updated flight model and it'll be available for download soon.

  5. Note: you can keep BOTH the PNG and DDS files in the same directory. X-Plane 10 Automatically chooses the correct one depending on the user's [X] Compress Texture Settings. You also don't need to edit the "TEXTURE xxxxx.PNG" line in a POL file or any OBJ object. X-Plane simply ignores the file extension and searches for a .DDS (then PNG then BMP etc..) automatically. read: http://developer.x-plane.com/2012/11/dds-and-v10-what-does-it-do/ http://developer.x-plane.com/2012/01/dds-revisited-in-x-plane-10/ - CK.

  6. Egads! How should I say this: "Youre doing it wrong". You are not supposed to edit DDS files! http://developer.x-plane.com/2012/01/do-not-use-dds-as-an-editing-format/ Think of DDS as the "End Result" of your work. Do all your work in PNG, PSD, other formats, etc. Once you're 100% done, then convert/process your imagery into DDS (and remove the PNG files from your distribution .ZIP file). Think about it like the music Industry (back in the CD days). Music editors don't do their work in 2-track 16 bit 44Khz (i.e. CD-quality). They do it on 24-track 32-bit quality at 60Khz. Once the track is COMPLETE, then they "downsample" and "package up" the music onto a CD. Or even better, the Music industry doesn't work in MP3 as their format. That's just the end-product (as it's a lossy distribution format, just like DDS is). XGrinder. Does all the X-Plane specific Gamma correction for you: http://developer.x-plane.com/tools/xptools/ - Just drag-and-drop the PNG images onto the Xgringer Window and Voila. DDS files appear in the same directory. Very Very easy. - CK.

  7. Hi, I have an update on this. Today I had the chance to get my hands on a 2009 MacBook Pro of a friend that still runs 10.6.8. And guess what: The CRJ 64bit worked. Let me put this straight: Apple very clearly says that what I'm doing is NOT compatible with OSX 10.6. Nevertheless, it appears to work. But: As this is strictly not supported by Apple, it may break any time in the future. That is it might break any time X-Plane is updated, the CRJ is updated or my XCode is updated and thus the next CRJ update depends on a newer XCode. As of now, CRJ 1.5.3/64bit works on 10.6.8, but I don't guarantee any support in the future for this configuration. If it works for you, fine. If it doesn't, you were warned. Philipp

  10. Nicely done Ryan! Much easier this way, rather than painting things one-by-one. Good idea to get this into OpensceneryX ASAP. Couple of items: 1. You can use 2048x1024 instead of 2048x2048, I noticed the bottom half of each .PNG is just a transparent Alpha. To save VRAM, X-Plane *does* allow for non-square dimensions in a .POL/draped poly..... so you can cut them into 2048x1024 instead. 2. Suggest .DDS compressing them - again save VRAM. PNG 2048x2048 takes 16 Mbytes of VRAM, vs 6-8 Mbytes with DDS w/no Alpha. If you want, post them here again and I'll Xgrind them for you into DDS. - Ck.

  11. So a few weeks ago I was browsing the French XP site and found this : http://zonephoto.x-plane.fr/ It features photo scenery for the whole of France at either 15 or 16 zoom, it also includes Switzerland and Belgium! I have personally tried these photo scenes and they are incredible, I've been flying over my houses in France in the 152 and Falco for hours! 8)
