Litjan Posted September 19, 2023 Report Posted September 19, 2023 Can you please post your log.txt file here so we can troubleshoot it? Quote

Litjan Posted September 19, 2023 Report Posted September 19, 2023 You have many critical plugins in your installation (SAM, Xjet, XPRealistic, Terrain radar, VFR hungary, ...) Remove all third party plugins and scenery with plugins, then try again, please. Quote
Pacifica Posted September 19, 2023 Report Posted September 19, 2023 Thank you, I'll try it without the plugin. Best regards, Norbert 1 Quote
bringofuel Posted September 20, 2023 Report Posted September 20, 2023 (edited) Having the same issue here. Video attached. I first noticed this in flight - the display was working as expected on the ground. It looks like the display is just drawing the new page on top, instead of clearing and fully redrawing. ixeg 737 classic plus fmc draw issue.mp4 Edited September 20, 2023 by bringofuel Quote
bringofuel Posted September 20, 2023 Report Posted September 20, 2023 One more clip of something I noticed. When a window within X-Plane is open, the display draws normally. When the window is closed, the issue returns. X-System 2023-09-20 12-29-53.mp4 Quote

When a window within X-Plane is open, the display draws normally. When the window is closed, the issue returns. The correlation between window state and display behavior within X-Plane has been a consistent theme across different plugins and add-ons. Given its frequency and varied occurrences, it may also be beneficial to liaise with Laminar Research to see if they are aware of the underlying issue and if there are any upcoming fixes in future updates. In the meantime, as a temporary workaround, you might want to keep a small window open, or maybe even pop it out of sight, out of mind. I understand this isn't ideal, but it might help until a more permanent solution is found. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Quote
sluflyer06 Posted September 21, 2023 Report Posted September 21, 2023 I've seen the same issue now as well on multiple flights with CDU corruption on either the Left or Right MCDU. Quote

We have not heard back from @Pacifica, we asked him to remove his plugins to test if those have an influence... maybe you can try the same so we can isolate the conflicting plugin and work on a solution? Thanks, Jan Quote
Pacifica Posted September 21, 2023 Report Posted September 21, 2023 Hello, I have now deactivated all plugins. Unfortunately the error from the FMC remains. Best regards. Quote

Litjan Posted September 22, 2023 Report Posted September 22, 2023 Hi, could you try again with all your custom scenery (especially X-Europe and VFR Hungary) removed temporarily to another folder? Vielen Dank, Jan Quote
Pacifica Posted September 22, 2023 Report Posted September 22, 2023 (edited) Hallo Jan, New trial. XEurope completely removed. Autoortho didn't start either. Standard weather loaded in Hamburg. FMC could be completely programmed for the flight. After the engine started, the FMC could no longer be operated. Best regards Log.txt Edited September 22, 2023 by Pacifica Quote
kailum8866 Posted September 22, 2023 Report Posted September 22, 2023 i am having this issue too. 2 pics below one of them was cycling through pages other Log.txtwas about 15 mins after but fmc is still really blurry Quote
Litjan Posted September 22, 2023 Report Posted September 22, 2023 You guys both have AMD GPU´s, correct? I suppose that your drivers are up to date. I am not familiar with those, but do you have a utility software that you can set certain things (like anti-aliasing, mipmapping, etc.) on? For Nvidia it is the Nvidia Control Panel. Maybe you have set some special setting there that would affect the OpenGL drawing? Quote

(yes i do have an amd gpu and guessing the other guy does too i do also have amd cpu) there is a setting for "openGL triple buffering" should i turn it on? i am in flight right now captain fmc seems fine now but fo is still a little blurred might require a restart if i turn it on now Edited September 22, 2023 by kailum8866 Quote

Pacifica Posted September 24, 2023 Report Posted September 24, 2023 (edited) Hello Jan, I have now made 2 more flights with the B737/300 and the FMC works perfectly. For me the solution was to switch off Zink. Hopefully this will help the other affected pilots too. By deactivating zink I also have fewer frames on my AMD system. On average only about 25. Best regards Edited September 24, 2023 by Pacifica 1 Quote
Litjan Posted September 24, 2023 Report Posted September 24, 2023 Thanks for letting us know, @Pacifica! Zink is working as an OpenGL bridge, so it isn´t surprising that it might influence the drawing of cockpit symbology... too bad that turning it off will also make the framerate decrease a lot for AMD users. I will bring this up with Laminar, maybe they can improve Zink to help with this... 1 Quote

Pacifica Posted September 24, 2023 Report Posted September 24, 2023 There are Aircraft in XP12 that work great with zink. Unfortunately the B737 Classic and the Hot Start Challenger 650 Version 1.7 do not. But the Challenger should soon receive an update to version 1.8. Then the aircraft will also support zink. Wish everyone a pleasant Sunday. Quote
