rajo Posted March 25, 2023 Report Posted March 25, 2023 On approach to destination: "Cancelling flight: Airborne refuelling detected. Your flight has been cancelled.“ Must repeat 4 long flights. XFSE Developer says: it’s a problem of Hotstart CL650. All logs from last flight attached. xfse break.zip Quote
rjb4000 Posted March 25, 2023 Report Posted March 25, 2023 Since you didn't refuel while airborne, how is this a Hotstart CL650 problem? Quote
rajo Posted March 26, 2023 Author Report Posted March 26, 2023 the author (daemotron) of FSE / XFSE says: This is a bug in the Challenger, not XFSE. The check resulting in the error message about airborne refueling does not use any position or time related information, it simply compares the fuel on board NOW to the fuel on board stored a second ago. You're not the first to report this error message with the Challenger; the root cause must be that under certain circumstances, the fuel on board data ref (sim/flightmodel/weight/m_fuel) is not reliably updated by HotStart. Therefore, I kindly ask you to file a bug report with them. Nothing I can do about my end, and I doubt it has anything to do with the date line (though this hint might help them sort out their stuff). Quote
Pils Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 Personally I think not allowing any wiggle room is poor software design myself. Quote

If I do this, how likely is it that Hotstart will fix this with an update? For now have no desire for longer flights with the CL-650. Are these rounding errors? Edited March 31, 2023 by rajo Quote
rajo Posted March 31, 2023 Author Report Posted March 31, 2023 for fuel flow, Little Navmap spits out gigantic, unusable numbers only for this aircraft. I see this as a bug that is probably related. Would be nice if the fix also fixes this bug! Quote
rajo Posted March 31, 2023 Author Report Posted March 31, 2023 If no one feels like fixing this, it would be nice if I could return the plane and get some money refunded, because I am a FSEconomy man Quote
Goran_M Posted March 31, 2023 Report Posted March 31, 2023 We would appreciate it if you did what Pils asked, and then we can investigate further. Going back and forth with daemotron is, pretty much, an exercise in futility. We need hard figures to dig in to. Quote
Ben Russell Posted March 31, 2023 Report Posted March 31, 2023 Request a feature in fse where you can set an allowable percentage of fuel value tolerance. If people set a stupid percentage then they're cheating themselves. Alternatively the author of fse could set a Max percentage to 5-10% so that people don't set something stupid like 80%. Then the entire issue with custom systems and fuel flow goes away for every product now and into the future. Quote
