chenquan4127 Posted February 12, 2022 Report Posted February 12, 2022 Error while reading ZIP file [...]/Gizmo64.zip Quote
Scriptwriter Posted February 12, 2022 Report Posted February 12, 2022 Lots of us have reported this, I believe they are looking into it so I am sure there will be an update / fix soon. 1 Quote
piperpilot99 Posted February 12, 2022 Report Posted February 12, 2022 (edited) As reported in a post that's seen nearly 800 views and has now been locked, we await a fix. It would appear that the majority of the C650s that have been purchased and had this update attempted are now unflyable. Edited February 12, 2022 by piperpilot99 2 Quote
kristolz Posted February 12, 2022 Report Posted February 12, 2022 Comforting to hear that others have the same issue as me! Tried to update to 1.4.1, and do also get the Gizmo64.zip error. The .zip is in the main install dir, and is 1.kb in size. Quote
chenquan4127 Posted February 12, 2022 Report Posted February 12, 2022 The update failed, and the old version can't be used.... 1 Quote
Peter Clark Posted February 12, 2022 Report Posted February 12, 2022 Before this one gets locked, @Pils can I put in an RFE for the installer to give you a “try again” or “cancel” option on “can’t read file”? Theoretically one could get around this by manually placing the gizmo file (for example) into the x-plane directory and “retry” proceeding to install it rather than just giving up and exiting to desktop. FWIW Quote

mikbak747 Posted February 12, 2022 Report Posted February 12, 2022 Update: After numerous tries I managed to finally run the installer in Windows. It may have been an erroneous file downloaded from the server, which in now fixed? I can now return back to flying! Quote
pilotdeviation Posted February 12, 2022 Report Posted February 12, 2022 Works for me, thanks! Made sure to download the installer again, though that may not be necessary. Quote
MsgLedeni Posted February 12, 2022 Report Posted February 12, 2022 (edited) If somebody encountered issue with unpacking files, and process suspended, like I did, just delete whole X-Aviation directory and try again, tahat worked for me. To X-Aviation... TNX for resolving this problem so fast. Edited February 12, 2022 by MsgLedeni Quote
