hobofat Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 [yet another excited user request]How much extra work would it be to include the rare but oh so cool viewmaster windows a la ?[/yet another excited user request]
Goran_M Posted June 1, 2011 Author Report Posted June 1, 2011 [yet another excited user request]How much extra work would it be to include the rare but oh so cool viewmaster windows a la ?[/yet another excited user request]I plan on making a couple of variants. The viewmaster windows look easy enough. Shouldn't be an issue.
Gjalp Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 hehehe, tell Theo that.....he does have to "texture" it afterall looking fantastic "Big G" !Andy - awaiting with baited breath the next round of screenshots
whiskeyportal Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 I think it's safe to say that yours will blow ALL the other DC-3's for XP out of the water.Looking badass!
simbabeat Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 This is so detailed I'm seeing things I never noticed before on the DC-3! Hopefully it can as frame rate friendly as the XPFR B-17 for those of us in the 19 fps club hint, hintLooking great!
Goran_M Posted June 3, 2011 Author Report Posted June 3, 2011 Thanks fella'sFramerates will be pretty good. So far with an unoptimized 3d mesh, I'm getting 60-70 fps on the ground. Of course, that's without the cockpit and textures.
-TheoGregory Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 It won't be in B17 territory, FPS wise. Probably more like our previous duchess. The B17 has 7 Maps which is very little. I want this plane to have HUGE amounts of texture resolution. This will push the maps up and be roughly par with our Duchess. But I promise for those of us in Club 19, it will still be fine.
simbabeat Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 Well a hardware tester like the CRJ's will always tell the truth.
Kaphias Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 Well a hardware tester like the CRJ's will always tell the truth. I hope that wink means you're joking.
Cameron Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 I hope that wink means you're joking. What are you getting at, Kaphias? Are you trying to say the hardware tester does not accurately do its job? Last I checked it reported to people whether their drivers and hardware would show the displays of the CRJ just fine...just curious.

From what I read in the above posts it seems people were talking about FPS- which as far as I remember the hardware tester gives no indication of. Is that correct or am I mistaken?

But my understanding was that if the hardware tester worked it was a good indication if you would get good fps or not.
-TheoGregory Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 No, the CRJ tester is just to test whether you have the necessary graphics capabilities to run the programming of the CRJ I believe. It has absolutely nothing to do with what sort of FPS you'll be getting.
Cameron Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 Correct. But my understanding was that if the hardware tester worked it was a good indication if you would get good fps or not.Straight from the hardware test page:This test is not an indication of how well the product will perform on your machine, but rather a test to see if your hardware is compatible.Hope that clears that up.

Ahhh thank you Cameron. Sorry to get off topic.Cheers
Ntr09 Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 This is looking great guys! I hope all the systems, functions, and SOUNDS (!) are modeled as realistically as possible! But even if they aren't, you already have my money! -Ntr09
-TheoGregory Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 Gear Textured. The exterior is now finished (with the exception of the floats which are still being made). As always, C&C is very much welcome.Theo
