Not necessarily. Example: for months, everyone thought it was the Saab's fault that X-Plane was crashing when run with xEnviro, because it wasn't crashing with any other add on. We thought so, at first, too. To the point that Jim and Ben went through the Gizmo code and the Saab code to see if anything was amiss. Andrej (xEnviro developer) finally decided to look into it, at my urging, and with several other people willing to run some tests, found it WAS xEnviro at fault. The problem was found and the crash happened whenever xEnviro would pull weather from the weather server. It was fixed for their next update. Add ons are made to run with vanilla X-Plane. If a crash happens, we'll look into it, but we can only do so with a log file and with the help of the user by eliminating some plugins and seeing if the problem disappears. Then we can take it further depending which add on is to blame.

The basic/lite add ons are definitely more suited to some people, like yourself. Good to see you have found what you are looking for. Enjoy.

If it crashes again, please post it immediately after the crash.

There are a lot more fixes coming than just the bank angle fix. It'll feel like a new add on.

You didn't post a log file, so we can't see what is happening. Like Jim said, we've had no reports of this happening for anyone else. I know a streamer who constantly streams in VR, and he has flown the Saab many times on stream. This is definitely something on your end.

Please see this post. There is a log.txt file in the root folder. That is the one we need. Not the TBM900_Log.txt file. See the image below. This is part of my root folder that shows both log files. I need the one that I left highlighted in blue.

Keep in mind, it could also be something with shared cockpit. I can't say for sure, as I don't have it, but definitely explore all avenues for this one.

Understood, but there is information at the start of the log file that we can use to diagnose any problems as well. That's why we ask people to attach the file when making a post.

This is definitely not a TBM issue. The lights are X-Plane parameterized lights. Nothing special about them.

We need the log.txt file. This is the TBM900_log.txt file. The log.txt file is also found in the root folder. But please attach it as an attachment to your forum post. Don't copy and paste the text.

Can you post the whole log file? We need to see everything.

Ben and Cameron have been working on it over the last week. Laminar are also working with a select group of developers (Saso included) to nail this down. No ETA but we'll get it straightened out ASAP.

They ice over from the outside. From memory, I don't think they fog up from the inside.

Do you have any kind of script or command telling the gear to be raised upon loading the TBM? Check all assignments.

It's absolutely not required, and by all means, we can take out the offending plugin. But we need to know what it is first. Saso is working diligently to try to narrow it down, but when X-Plane refuses to tell us what it is, it makes it that much harder. He's already updated a ton of code (due for the next update), and hopefully, the exception handler problem is among those fixes.

Very possible that Laminar fixed it in 11.40. I believe they were made aware of it.

You could try a second install of X-Plane with just the TBM and PilotEdge. Then add all other plugins, 1 by 1 until it crashes again.

I've seen many people fly the TBM on PilotEdge. If it is Gizmo crashing, it's Gizmo and something else not working well with it.

It's not just the TBM. It's across the board with add ons that use an installer. Laminar is working with the dev community to get things sorted out as quickly as possible.

It broke with the 11.36 update. It's a known issue and will be addressed in the next update.
