  1. Please take the time to look for similar threads before posting. You will find several recent threads and especially this one:
  2. As a rule of thumb, this works quite nice: For a 3° descent path angle, subtract your target altitude from your current altitude, drop the zeros and multiply by 3. If you're flying at 27000 ft and need to descent to 3000 ft, this would be 27000 - 3000 = 24000 drop the zeros = 24 24 x 3 = 72 So you start your descent 72 nm before your target waypoint. (you can always add a few miles for safety) To figure out what vertical speed you need roughly for the 3° angle: Multiply your groundspeed in kts by 5. 280 kts would make a 1400 ft vertical speed. Quite easy and works for any plane.
  3. No sulking here. Whatever you're looking for, wish you all the best!
  4. Don't know why you think so, but let's leave it at that. For me, this is one of the most realistic and sophisticated planes I have seen for xplane and it was running well on my end since months. (although i had fps problems back in November which are gone since then) It's fact that some of the changes Laminar introduced with 11.31 broke the custom G1000 in the TBM 900, but this does not detract from the devs providing excellent support through this forum. 'Bullshit' and 'incompetent' is disrespectful, to say the least.
  5. When you bought it 2 weeks ago you should have been able to fly it. It was the 11.31 update which broke things up and this is only out since a few days now, not 2 weeks. If you think it's bullshit that the devs are working hard to fix it, well then nobody here can help you.

    Bugs qalore

You may want to read a few of the recent topics in this subforum. There's a problem with the TBM in connection with 11.31 version which is out since a few days. The developers are aware and working on a fix which they hope to have out within days. Patience is the key...
  7. Don't do it! It will make all your other payware aircraft look obsolete!
  8. Have a look at all the recent threads. It's a known issue introduced with 11.31 and the devs are working on a fix.
  9. These switches are not for pressurization, they only control the oxygen flow to the oxygen masks.
  10. It seems Laminar marked 11.31rc1 as 'final', so there's no way to revert back unless you have saved a copy of 11.30. Let's hope the devs find a fix on their end.
  11. There are already some other threads around. For the moment the devs recommend to go back to 11.30.

    Cruise speed

Just to rule out possible misinterpretion, are you referring to groundspeed or indicated airspeed?

    Crash on Ground

Really, it's already out of beta? However, the devs stated it's not working with 11.31. See this thread

    Crash on Ground

If you are on the beta, revert back to stable xplane 11.30.
  15. It's mentioned in the 1.1.4 changelog: Implemented maximum climb torque and optimum cruise torque marks on the torque gauge. See the pinned thread.
  16. I remember I had to do this on every startup in order to get a payware Twin Otter loaded correctly. On the forums I read that it had something to do with SASL. But that was back in good old xplane 10 days.
  17. I would try it with a fresh copy of xplane, just to rule out possible conflicts with your current xplane install. Just add the TBM and leave everything else at default. It's worth the try and if it fails you can always go back to your current install.
  18. Renaming them won't change anything imho. Removal is the best choice. Another method would be to disable them via the plugin manager in xplane, but that seems not to prevent them from loading partially sometimes.
  19. You may have inadvertently put the source selector into GPU position. That would bypass the generator and trigger a main gen warning followed by a low voltage warning as the battery drains. Happened to me once and took me a few minutes to figure out.
  20. Sorry to hijack this thread, just a short question. Is the Navigraph chart implementation still planned?
  21. Have you had xplane running before you did the update? Don't know why, but with some earlier updates i had similar problems with the installer when running it right after closing xplane. Restarting the PC did the trick in these cases.
  22. I'm not sure if it covers all of Greenland, but the Grand Arctic Scenery from HSimulators has a Greenland mesh. It's payware and includes a bunch of airports, so it may be a bit too much just for overflying though.
  23. Since the day it came out I haven't flown anything else than the TBM, so I will be definitely looking into your new project! You guys rock.
