Okay ! nVidia told the single Titan alone need around 300 Watts to work at it's best, so don't know the total wattage the whole config needs. Time will tell

And ... results in X-Plane ?
-
Look it's best ? I have currently a 2009 Laptop, mid-low end machine, and run X-Plane 9 on medium settings around 20-25 FPS, and XP10 32 bit no more than 18-20 FPS with nothing displayed over the countryside ... I see screenshots with all nearly maxed out, and I THINK it is looking really great, I want to achieve that and even more, also, doing Computer Assisted Music,3D modeling as well as flight simming on other platforms ( DCS... ) In the above case, the 3770 is the limiting component I think, and the motherboard maybe also. I know it's frustrating, but a single component can't do the whole job on it's own... The power supply supplies current through all components, CPU computes, GPU draw, and motherboard permit all that flow of info to circulate at best speed. I 'm convinced if each components is the bests ones, you will achieve some impressive results. The results I'll have with that will prove I'm right OR wrong, and in that case, we could really say XP10 is not optimized at all... Impatient to see the results, been saving for 2+ years, and want to take revenge on all those times I struggled with every sim to get flyable FPS ...

Holy cow ! That is disapointing. But 30 FPS with everything ON, over a great city with much clouds on 150% is a huge success ;-) What is your exact rig ?
-
You'll have the answer soon, just ordered Zotac GTX TITAN AMP! 6go " Boosted " version to run on a Rampage IV, 32GB DDRIII 2400 MHz and I7 3970X... If I can't max X-Plane 10.22 64bits out with at least 50 FPS, then we can see this sim can't be maxed out nowadays with nice FPS ;-)

Saab 340A Preview and Announcement! - June 24th, 2013
Hueyman replied to Cameron's topic in Saab 340 - Released!
I'm really happy someone as talented as you guys finally decided to make a great turboprop ! And it will run flawlessly on my brand new machine, will really enjoy X-Plane 10 at it's full potential -
You also can create a misc body or even just an misc .obj
-
You know, a couple of days is very little compared to a couple of year, awaiting the ability to afford a new PC ... ;-)
-
I'll get about the exact same gear as you, except I7 3970X, Rampage IV Extreme motherboard and 4X G Skill Trident X 8GB, 2400 MHz DDRIII We'll rock X-Plane UP ;-)
-
I'm really wondering if Alex Gifford ( propsman ) would allow us to improve it to today's standard. I would be very happy modelling a new spheriflex rotorhead and blades, as well as a detailed fenestron. If someone is skilled and loves that too, an updated 3D cockpit and of course global textures in HD would be very welcome.
-
Okay, thanks for the answer. Anyway, the Saab will make us busy for a year or two ;-)
-
Sorry to dig up old threads, but is this TWotter still alive ? Aerosoft is making an oustanding job on their " Extended " version, they originallt old they would also make it for X-Plane 10 ... no news since, so I believe this one is our only hope now
-
Oh yes, I see thanks ;-) And what is the real advantages in X-Plane ? I heard that it can't take advantages of bi-GPU monsters such the 690, what about CPU use ? Thanks
-
If you're looking for this Beaver, it is because you love realism and accuracy no ? So why not going to XP10 ? There is still an old DHC-2 roaming around, that works very well in X-Plane 9.70 ....
-
EC 130 ?!! Where did you get that ?!
-
Why everyone is saying to take the latest Haswell ? it's not that powerful, just save energy and it's new... For now, the 3930K and 3970X are just the best out there
-
Really nice looking plane, and what a great looking prop too ;-)

Hey, really nice to hear ! You will finally enjoy the beauty of that sim " all maxed out " After saving for two years, I'm about to built a new PC, with I7 3970X and GTX TITAN, on Win 7 64 Bit with 16GB 2400MHz, I hope to set everything to max in all my sims ( X-Plane, DCS, Il-2 : CoD ) and reach the high 40's Please post screens ;-)

Yo Kris Actually, only 32 bit work(ED) .... ED because it doesn't work any more, for a mysterious reason ... The plugin menus in X-Plane 10.22 32bit tell me it is installed, but no popup ... Anyway, I should change my whole gear soon and go for X-Plane 64bit. I've sent email to Reality XP to know when they plan to update their great product. They are known for never answering support ;-( Will see PS : Yeah; the free KLN90 is a great product ! I fly the KLN35A on the DR400-140B we have at the local club, it is very similar.
-
Everything maxed out ? Nice ! I would love to do so, what are your FPS ?
-
Well said ! I don't know X-FMX but it has a good strong reputation. I use the Reality XP GNS530, and it's also a joy in such planes ( as well as outstanding BAe, CRJ etc )
-
That's true ... About the C90, it's really the best default plane I've ever seen ! Thanks Tom Kyler ! I would love someone agrees to take it as a base and develop it even further, I mean turbine management, systems etc etc. I already asked him once, never answered back. I hope Carenado will convert their C90B or B200 one day, I got tired of the banal GA ones.

I agree with your statements. The fact is, every DCS module has been studied for years and made as real as it gets, and there are very few. While X-Plane is populated with really bad quality files. While nowadays, it's starting to raise, we still see some ( even payware ! ) files coming along ... One will say " you don't like it ? don't buy ! " but it blackens the overall X-Plane image IMHO. Anyway, eargerly awaiting the Saab too, as well as IXEG, SMS Beaver, Trident Bell 412, Dream Foils Hughes 300, Dan Klaue's Quest Kodiak and the soon to be released An-2
-
Yeah, took some more modules 3 days ago, the Huey of course, FC3 and P-51D ! Amazing

Actually, it's really two different worlds ... I would not see the pont of modeling such complex systems like the A-10 subsystems etc, in a " civil " simulator, when your only threats are the weather, the risk of being late if you're an airline pilot or the bingo fuel ... I really enjoy flying both, but I have to admit I LOVE DCS, as the missions ( especially in " weak " aircrafts such the Huey, not much defended not powerful ) is very rewarding and bring a huge satisfaction at the end of the mission when you succeed it, while in X-Plane, I really fly on my own chief, without any real order to follow. I think everyone find him/herself in any of those very detailed simulators. Hueyman
