  1. If you had read your log.txt (yes, not only devs can do this, even the mere mortal user can) - you would have found this: E/GFX/VK: Vulkan device lost error! 0:00:06.446 E/GFX: No diagnostics for graphics queue, queue was empty! 0:00:06.446 E/GFX: No diagnostics for transfer queue, queue was empty! 0:00:06.446 E/SYS: MACIBM_alert: Encountered Vulkan device loss error! 0:00:06.446 E/SYS: MACIBM_alert: X-Plane cannot continue running and will now quit. So, there are two things problematic with your setup: 1.) You are running some plugins that can cause problems (new XPUIPC is not compatible, older version is), FlyWithLua (depending on the scripts) 2.) You are running the latest Beta of X-Plane and suffer a device loss error...which has nothing to do with IXEG. Cheers, Jan
  2. I can not find any gizmo errors in your log. I can find two other plugins reporting problems, though. I suggest you follow this: Cheers, Jan
  3. Grab and hold (with mouse) the switches to move them? Possibly other plugins (external hardware) in control of those datarefs? Jan
  4. No - but anything messing with art datarefs can be (silver lining) and anything messing with other datarefs (fly with lua, xpuipc, ground traffic, etc) can be as well. So its impossible to say which ones are critical in combination with the IXEG, most of the time the user finds out and then often there is an updated version (because who keeps checking his plugins for updates all the time?) Cheers, Jan
  5. Hmm, it could be that your external hardware is somehow interfering with our accessing the datarefs or something..
  6. Sorry, I am afraid there isn´t. The preference file was changed (because we added more options) so the old version could not be retained. This may be different for future updates, though. Cheers, Jan
  7. Hi Sean, thanks for the log files. You are running a dozen or so plugins that have caused compatibility problems in the past. To troubleshoot and find the offending one, please remove them, test, add back (in bunches) until you find the one that is causing it. Often there is an updated version for that plugin - sometimes (XPUIPC) only an older version works. Cheers, Jan
  8. I have a keyboard macro to paste this link :
  9. Hi Sean, it is likely that you have other plugins running that compete with lua for memory - which is really limited to a small amount of your total memory. The only short-term cure is to remove other plugins that use lua. The long-term solution will be to move our sounds to FMOD...which will take a few months of dedicated work (according to the estimate of Laminar Research´s designer that did the sounds for the 737NG and MD80). Cheers, Jan
  10. Hmm...that sounds like some sort of "initialization issue". To narrow down - can you spawn the plane in the "non working" (turn-around?) condition...and then confirm the ILS is not receiving...then click the "reboot gizmo" (little flash sign) on the RIGHT side pop-out menu? This initializes the scripts again. Another thing I would like you to try is to disable "Global traffic", just to test. Not sure, but it could influence this somehow (you know, computers...) Thanks, Jan
  11. Yes, it works normally with beta 9. To use those things you need to click on them to "hold" them, then drag the mouse in the direction you want to switch. Cheers, Jan
  12. So - you guys all run Active Sky and the wind indication (arrow, numbers or both?) are blinking? As in on and off? Does it stop when you disable Active Sky? It is normal for the wind display to be suppressed when winds are below a certain strength. Could that be the case here? A short movie would be ideal to assess what we are dealing with, here. Cheers, Jan
  13. Ok, thanks for the Log - nothing unusual to see, except that you love AI aircraft, it seems - that shouldn´t have anything to do with it. The ILS system in the 737-300 is really robust, no fancy FMS work necessary or so. Simply dial in the correct frequency and voila. There are a few things that can throw people off: Make sure that you have "disable tailwind ILS" deselected in the X-Plane preferences Make sure you have not "failed" the receiver or transmitter in X-Plane´s failures Make sure you are in range the GS will be suppressed while you "head away" from the front course as set on the on-side CRS selector (LOC will always show, though) loosing power to the corresponding radio having an ILS frequency selected that is not corresponding to the frequency as maintained in X-Planes earth_nav_dat (often these are different from current day frequencies, as you can NOT update them with Navigraph or Aerosoft data) I will attach two pics of my 737 at 16L in KSEA. Is this the same that you have set up? Oh, and always great to meet someone that started back on the C-64 (Sublogic FS II!!) like I did . Cheers, Jan
  14. The PMC is the "power management computer "of the engines. It is normally always on. It does stuff like keeping the engines at climb power while it climbs automatically and provides overspeed protection and such. If it is faulty the plane CAN be flown with it off (I did that once), but the switch is in the lower nose compartment. We do not model operation without it. Cheers, Jan
  15. I checked the log.txt of all people reporting that a LSK did not work anymore, and they all contained a crash in the underlying code. Thanks for all reports, hopefully Tom can glean something from this! Cheers, Jan
  16. Probably the right pack now running in "turnaround mode" - more realistic. Cheers, Jan
  17. Alright - next time it happens, please secure the Log.txt from X-Plane folder and let us have a look! Thanks, Jan
  18. That is right, I have changed that - so that it stays nice and comfy in the plane... Cheers, Jan
  19. No worries - it was just funny because everyone is always asking for wingflex and you said that you already had it before. Loved that!
  20. You selected the 18.5K derate...
  21. Can you post a Log.txt, please?
  22. It doesn´t? Something must have gone wrong with the update!
  23. Oh, one more thing - when you do a video like that, you can always "push forward really quick" one of your thrust levers while taxiing out to the runway (with everything set for departure). Just a quick jab won´t really accelerate the engines, but the horn would sound right away. Cheers, Jan
  24. Thanks, Manuel! I mentioned this in my "preview video" as well, found in the first post of this thread. Did you watch that, Stratosfeerick? Cheers, Jan
