  1. That makes sense, thank you for the info that I missed somewhere else on the internet. I'm a fan and supporter of your group, I just hope you do continue development of this aircraft after everyone pays the upgrade fee. I read somewhere that the FMC can't manage holds? not sure if this is the case or not but it's certainly something I would like to see.
  2. I just found out about the upgrade and don't understand why there's a countdown clock ticking down to not being able to avail of the upgrade price? I don't even have XPlane12 but fully intend to reinvest in flight simming when I get back to normal life. Why is X-Aviation / IXEG playing this card when Toliss, Flight Factor, Colimata and others allow for their upgrades whenever the consumer wants?? It stinks of bad customer relations and poor business decisions. Not really sure what X-Aviation and IXEG are afraid of or thinking. I know it's only $15, but it's the principal of the matter. I essentially need to pay $15 for something I don't even use at the moment, so I don't have to pay $84.95 later. Anybody for a free pizza?
  3. For the price of half a pizza this is a fair and reasonable upgrade. I will buy it just because of how much flight simming joy IXEG brought to me for years.
  4. something is up with your machine because XP11 easily runs better than P3D. It can take a little while to get XP11 working the way you might want it, but the good news is all the resources are out there on the web to help.
  5. Wouldn't RAAS be available in the real Challenger? I wasn't able to find the feature to turn off the flaps warning in the X-RAAS settings
  6. Hi guys - last night upon landing at KRNO my reversers didn't deploy despite them being turned on. A message in yellow appeared on the CAS saying they are not working (can't remember the exact wording). Any ideas? Also, as I was shutting down I got a warning in red regarding the nose wheel door. I was not able to close it inside or out using the little switch inside the APU door. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Thanks
  7. Thought I'd try VR (looks awesome) and out of habit I clicked on the FMS to make it into a window and X-Plane crashed. Log.txt
  8. Thanks for sharing your deeply knowledgeable insight Oliver, Not being a corporate pilot, I didn't realize that in the real thing the pilot had to get out of his seat, head over to the touch screen panel above the sink, press an announcement button, and then head back to his seat each time. But now I know ;-)
  9. Apologies, if this has been asked and answered somewhere before, but is it possible to have the cabin announcements automate? It would be a ton more immersive if it was triggered somehow. Thanks so much Len
  10. It makes screenshots and videos look better. When the time comes perhaps give the option at least. You do have a pilot in the TBM. It would look weird without one. Thank you!
  11. awesome, yea I was going to ask for this to be added (even optional for those that don't want em) especially as the TBM has a pilot . the 650 is so small it's hard to avoid a screen shot that doesn't show an empty cockpit Thank you! Len
  12. Done and thanks for the quick response. I actually didn't have anything installed, so I installed the TBM and all is good now. Cheers, Len
  13. I am receiving this warning when trying to log into X-Aviation inside X-Plane. The only thing I can think of that might be causing it is I reinstalled X-Plane. Would love some advice before the Challenger 650 comes out!
  14. would love to see a video of these clouds in action with an FPS counter thnx
  15. is there any way to test this out because I got seriously burned with my V4 purchase over the holidays, you might remember @Cameron ? Thanks.
  16. Me too. The latest build is indeed the best so far. I've deleted SkyMaxx Pro for these. Thanks for the recommendation @rawdmon
  17. @JohnMAXX thanks for the response man, it proves you're invested and that in itself is something. I want to but I can't apologize for the title of my message, because if you had been in the same room as me you would have literally asked me: what's so funny?... It's really not a big deal, I got SMP on sale and knew I was taking a bit of a gamble, but I spent the weekend testing out clouds, taking short little hops and all the things we do as FS hobbyists when we get new toys. So, there I was... thrilled to bits with the FPS at EDDM in the Fly-J Sim 732 (normally fly IXEG 733) sometimes reaching 50fps at an extremely detailed airport with your clouds. The clouds and atmosphere on the ground were stunning. But as as soon I climbed out of the murk, the higher I got, the frames just kept decreasing. In the meantime I'm fiddling with CIVA INS, on VATSIM, while hand flying, only for my frames to completely disintegrate around the FL200s and lose connection to VATSIM and well, you get the picture - that's when I literally laughed out loud and sent the message. I honestly think this is a great product, but for VFR GA. You should market it that way. But anyway best of luck with the new version. It's going to have to be something pretty special and revolutionary because I just don't want to spend the money. MSFS 2020 and Asobo have cracked it. The problem is, that sim is currently more of a Bing maps and amazing clouds generator than a flight simulator. Edit: changed the title to not be that guy @Cameron thanks for the response too. I love the stuff here on X-Aviation but at the end of the day I am a customer and this is important feedback. I'm a very longtime flight simmer and have been managing expectations for over 20 years. I know what you are trying to say, but I wasn't asking a lot to have a limited cloud layer not bring my sim to its knees. I'm just saying, SMP is awesome for VFR and low level flight. Not so much for the tubeliners. Perhaps this is something to consider.
  18. I know you guys do your best and put a lot of effort into the art and code of this and I respect that, but man this is the second time I've regretted buying SkyMaxx Pro. I've tinkered with the settings, watched all the YouTube videos, searched high and low on the internet, and after getting sub 20 FPS at cruising altitude, when I had 40 - 50 FPS on the ground at Short Final's incredibly detailed EDDM with online VATSIM traffic, I'm just floored at this product. How is it possible to get the worst frame-rates of the entire flying experience at FL 260? (and get booted off VATSIM as a result). Yes, I've tinkered with the sliders, the SD, the speed clouds, etc. There are far better frame friendly clouds available for free that almost look as good. You guys should really take a look at what the freeware community is doing because the product needs a lot of work. And fyi - my machine handles everything else just fine incl. MSFS volumetric clouds. The only reason I don't fly MSFS is X-Plane is light years ahead when it comes to the flight model.
  19. @Tony123 The Kodiak Quest is actually really nice. You should try it! Although, I rarely fly it because of this plane, but I should as it's a very different animal and very well modeled.
