Hiya, Move your Min/Max cloud size slider all the way to left Change soft to Fast Put Cirrus down to Low (you'd be surprised how very good they still look) Then try and then just try adjusting your Cloud Area Covered slider ######################### You can go here dl that, and run as admin if needbe ... https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processexplorer.aspx If stuff's running in the background that you don't need, stop it auto starting on boot, or use a start-up util (can't rem the name of one i used to use, and don't use the windows option msconfig) It will show you what cwap's running on your rig, and then you can set to work if needbe stopping it If you have W10 i would suggest of not already got it ....... Spybot Anti-Beacon, and set all to Blocked, unless you use certain items I don't know how advanced you are with windows and the registry etc, so the above you may already have/know Here's an example of my nephews rig i built up for him a few years ago ............. Power on, takes around 3mins to hit windows desktop !! Then it's like a slide show until every auto start item does its thing From Messenger to Audio stuff, if i ever have a net outage and have to use his, i always go through it and stop all the 'loas on windows start' cwap He's 34 ffs lol, i've been showing him to do this basic housekeeping for 20yrs, then he's amazed as his pc boots fast and is responsive when it hits windows lol Then monthts down the line he's got the same cwap running again on lmao !! Hiya's, To give you an idea, this is my highest x-plane settings pic ever (without smp/rwc installed !! i stress without) I run i7 5820k at 4.7ghz - 32gb ddr4 at 3000 - R9 290x at 1267/1354 - Cpu+Gpu are watercooled, max temp of cpu 100% load 57c gpu well under limits and i no longer check Now from looking the 970 runs just under the r9-290x in many things, and i swap from nvidia/ati as/when needed With that taken into account, at this moment cleaning my game/sim up (housekeeping in custom scenery mainly lol) i have only Airport Navigator and autogate installed Here's the pic, and it rarely drops down below 24 at eham/klax etc Best add, i know for damn sure when i put smp back i will surely have to lower somethings, but in reality, that will be where i was anyways, and i know smp for me actually raises my fps, just been testing and cleaning up TTFN Tony ps : Res is 1920x1200 vsync off but on sometimes with mon refresh locked at 60hz smoothes things !
