Is the IXEG 733 too sensible in wind direction/speed changes ?
cmbaviator replied to cmbaviator's topic in General Discussion
I use the crab technic, you only use your rudder to decrab during the flare. Besides, the Vref was 129kts, I set Vapp to 140 on the MCP, so that +6Kts for the wind (129+5kts (mandatory)+6kts. even if i added 2-3kts, more, i wouldn't think it would have changed something. So my question is, is this behaviour correct ? again the wind intensity is not the matter here, It seems that even small speed and direction changes make the b733 very uncontrollable -
Hi guys, After an approach where the wind direction was changing like+-20° where it was nearly impossible to control the aircraft, I peprformed a test: the first 2 approach were manual flown, Ap off approx 1000-1200 fts 3rd approach : auto land 4th approachsteady wind direction and speed, and the plane behaved much better : it seems that the B737 is extremly sensible to wind direction and speed even if there are little, in the video above , wind direction changed +- 25° and speed about +-5 Kts which is not a big deal. but as you can see i should have Go around each time except the last 2 ones. If you compare with the last approach, you can assert that it's the wind speed/direction changes that makes the aircraft uncontrolable. it seems that the aircraft has no inertia, the wind direction goes from 220° to 245° and suddently the bank angle has increased of 20° lol. maybe the real one perform like this but I don't know

I don't understand???, you can manually move the CG of the aircraft, you just have to apply the trim indicated in the ground service popupand not the value indicated by the FMC always stuck to 4.8 CMB Sent from Tapatalk

Maybe not, they haven't modeled it yet
-
I was wondering if the version of the FMC modelled is above or below 10.8? http://www.b737.org.uk/fmc_u108.htm

Airline2sim told me that they will release some payware content near winter 2016 if the schedule of Jonny allows it.

How to fly GPS approach with vertical profile?
cmbaviator replied to Chris Tweney's topic in Flight Procedures and Techniques
Jan i flied a rnav approach in VNAV/LNAV but during the descent, i've set to the FAF a speed contraint = Vref +5kts (135kts) in the FMC leg page but after setting landing flaps, the speed is set to 140 kts instead of 135, it is the seond time that it has done that to me, ot seems that he maintains the speed constraint value +5kts. i can provide a video this evening if needed -
Not at all, skymax will only replace the default xplane cloud
-
The right CG is the one given in the ground service pop up menu
-
Lol, read above, in the ground service pop up, Also trim value is based on Cg and not weight

Nice video done airline2sim with a real B737CL pilot : http://flightsimcentral.net/airline2sim-ixeg-737-full-flight-now-live/

thanks for the quick hotfix. I love the way updates are handled: very fast and efficient- 70 replies

yeah it has been already been reported, I think i was the first one to do so xP the CG value has to be entered in the FMC but you can't currently as it is always stuck to 10.1% => 4.8°. just apply trim to meet the trim value in the ground service menu

Hi, I've noticed since v1.00 that during the descent with VNAV on, I always needed to extend the SB until FAF like at least 5-7 times. The wind is always blowing between 45-95kts in cruise and during the beginning of the descent. I can't recall if during all these flights, if i always had tailwind or headwind, tailwind if obviously more penalysing if wind is not taken into account. besides I was always on the high side : LW around 44.0 blocks (kg). never tested on a lighter weight. I don't think it's an issue but more a FMC Vnav calculation limitation as it doesn't take into account the wind as we can't enter wind prediction in rte page and even if we can enter wind prediction for the descent in the forecast menu of the descent page, it don't think it takes it in account as there is no need to execute afterwards. Well fair enough I could just start the descent earlier one could say, but the issue is that DES NOW is not working, i don't know if its not yet implemented or its a bug. I would be nice if you guyscan implement the DES NOW button so that us VNAV nerds could start the descent earlier when there is an important TL wind component until you guys implement Wind prediction entries ( I do hope that you're planning wind prediction entries)

Gear indicators go to red during flight

Well there is a horn cutoof button close to the right side of the throttle on the pedestral, but i don't know if it will cut that specific sound -
looks like your throttle wasn't synced with the ghost throttle. if you are synced, when moving the throttle you shouldn't see the ghost throttle anymore. What i suggest if that before disengaging A/T, move your throttle around a bit and see ifyour are correctly synced with the ghost one, if so, then disengage A/T
