Hi Ch.Cole, I hope you dont mind I have modified your script to allow quick scrolling and added a command for vertical mode switching. Am I ok to attach here?

Thanks for that, found it and assigned.

Thanks for the quick update but I seem to be having a few issues. 1) Started with flaps not showing as set on the outside model but seems all my flying surfaces are not animated. 2) Park brake will toggle on with command ’sim/flight_controls/brakes_toggle_max‘ but will not hold on. It will toggle and hold half brake with command ‘sim/flight_controls/brakes_toggle_regular’ 3) On landing my throttles lock and will not allow me to move them into reverese unless I move them forward first. 4) My GS indication on the PFD is missing but the AP captures it ok during the approach. Many thanks for your work on this update

Hi, not sure if will help but I have to load into xplane with a default xplane aircraft then switch to the SAAB 340. This works for me
-
Thanks but not as much as the developers have done

I have updated my XFirstOfficer files to the new Take Command SAAB 340A version 1.6 and they can be found here if you fancy a copilot. https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/60439-saab-a340-xfirstofficer/

Hi, first thanks for the update well worth the wait I have a couple of questions 1) I use the reailtyXP GTN750 and I can get the LRN into the airplane but it will not follow the track. I have heading selected with NAV armed and on intercept course. PFD shows HDG and LRN1 under but it never activates? 2) IAS doesn't seem to work. I have it selected with but it will not command correct pitch to maintain IAS. VSI works fine. 3) My altitude indicator doesn't move from the 12 oclock position to show hundreds . Copilot and standby are showing fine. 4) I have written XFirstOfficer files which required lots of updating ( well worth it ) but I used to be able to change the 'LES/saab/gpu/power_available' datref but it appears it is now readonly. Any chance you can make it writable? I am using in the latest XPlane 11.52 with OpenGL Many thanks for a wonderful update, all your hard work is much appreciated

It’s only trickier because you have to use a datarefs. The bindings you need are shown in my post.

Hi, I have my crs1 and crs2 bound to a hat switch on my throttle. Just use the joystick menu and then custom bind OBS 1 up, OBS 1 down to one axis then OBS 2 up, OBS 2 down to the other. The VS and heading are a little bit more tricky. These are the bindings I use.

I am using it fine in 11.5 b3 with no issues. I dont have all my plugins loaded from 11.41 so maybe a plugin causing your crash.

I use a xJoymap and have both LES/CMD/gust_lock_release and LES/CMD/gust_lock_lever_pos and neg bound to a single joystick button on my throttle. Works a treat
-
Hi, I have them mapped to my joystick buttons with no problems and I just tried to map to key press. All working for me.
-
Working fine for me, I have it mapped to the dataref LES/saab/prop/prop_sync_toggle
-
Hi John E B, you can use the utility xJoymap from xplane.org to assign the dataref to a joystick button. I have it set up for the prop sync switch and it works great for me. Here is the link https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/11720-xjoymap-joystic-to-dataref-mapping/ If you need any help or my ini file let me know.

Hi, I do have it working in GTN750 in my Saab. It is only a 2D window which I pop open/close with a joystick button. It links to my LRN course and follows it great. It does not link to VNAV but shows altitude constraints on the display. I am happy to share with you.

Love this plane to bits and looking forward to version 2. but there are some differences in the plane makers acf files from 1.5.1 to 1.5. Not sure if these are the reasons the engines perform slightly differently. Here are some screen grabs of what I found. 1.5.1 is on the left and 1.5 on the right from the prop 1 page.

Hi, you can set the vertical speed using the knob next to the autopilot Engage and Disengage switches. Below the the weather radar control panel. It rotates forward and back for pitch and then rocks left and right for heading. You can also assign the custom commands to a joystick button as I do. These are `LES/CMD/autopilot/APCP/pitch_wheel_neg` and `LES/CMD/autopilot/APCP/pitch_wheel_pos` The switch next to the `LDG ALT` is to control the pressurisation. See the manual `LES_A340_Systems` page 161 for more details. Hope this helps.

Hi Tim013, my request is to be able to map the CTOT torque setting dial to an axis or button set. You can use the 'xJoyMap' - Joystick to Dataref mapping utility to assign both switches to a single joystick button. I use this utility for the exact same reason as well as few other mappings. It works great, if a little fiddly to set up. If you need help or my file just ask. Regards

I am just wondering if there is any noise for the wheels touching down on a runway?
-
I am not concerned with constantly watching these gauges but I understand. You can see them and you can lean in to get a better look. With 1.5.1 under bright sunlight they do become difficult to read but I mentioned this in previous post. For me it’s the experience you feel while in VR while taxing and landing. My landings are so much better, centre line and touch down point, and more satisfying in VR than without. If you have the VR equipment it would be worth a try just to experience it. Tony

Hi Chase911, I am just wondering if you had any luck today with SAAB and VR?
-
Hi, I use the SAAB in VR quite a lot and love it. I tried the VR mod but I can quite happily fly in VR without it, so I removed it. I do all my pre flight in non VR then taxi and take off in VR. While on route I switch back to non VR. Once I am sorted for approach I switch back to VR for it along with the landing and taxi in. I do have a touch controller but don’t use it to manipulate the controls, only select menus and resetting view, would def recommend them though. I use the mouse in VR and it works on all switches I use for taxi, take off and landing. I use a Thrustmaster Warthog for main power levers and I have two axis on my Saitek Pro Flight TPM for condition levers. Hope this helps
