  1. This was discussed elsewhere and no, it does not work.
  2. Just noticed a bunch of replies here. In the end, this may have been caused by XPUIPC. After removing it, I no longer could reproduce the problem. It's interesting how different pilots engage it at different times while the boeing manual is specific. Thx all.
  3. Just read in the manual that pressing TO/GA twice will get you what you want.
  4. I don't have FSGRW, so I doubt it. I think it's an intermittent issue. For the SMP guys to fix it, they'll need a way to recreate it. I'm using the stock XP weather, no add-ons.
  5. Fired it up this morning to check, 300MB free with the slider about 30K....reduced to 25K and 400MB free and better, still a little stutter but the frame rate doesn't drop from 70 to teens when panning. This morning, with different conditions (some fog), I'm at upper 30s FPS stationary and it maintains that while panning...no difference. Even though I still note a little stutter I don't see it reflected in the FPS number. Again, this is in free camera mode and probably less or not noticeable in a plane.
  6. Difficult to see in your video but I had the same exact thing happen today while not flying. Was working on some scenery and was getting 70 fps or so while still, but could not move (free camera mode) smoothly at all until I disabled Skymaxx via the plug in manager then it was perfectly fine. I couldn't figure out what the issue was, there were very few clouds.
  7. Thanks Jan...I tested again after remapping my controls to the same settings (probably didn't do anything) and was able to recreate but had nothing to do with the speed brakes this time. Then I swapped the old XPUIPC out for the new and was not able to recreate. Will continue with this setup and report back if I'm able to recreate. Excellent support from you guys even for the odd/goofy reports...like mine.
  8. Was getting ready to taxi, had everything set up and was testing flight controls. Deployed the speed brakes full (to test) and A/T engaged at N1 while still parked. From that point on, I could not arm the A/T without it going to N1. So had to line up for departure and flip the switch and it went full, pressed TO/GA and was off. I have my speed brake mapped to the standard XP speed brake via a dial on my throttle control. Let me know if I can provide more info. Thx.
  9. OK, checking flight controls...test speed brakes mapped to standard XP speed brakes (dial on throttle), engages N1 if A/T armed. Once I test the speed brakes, I can no longer arm A/T without it going into N1. I haven't even started to taxi yet. Can someone test this? Thanks! EDIT: Will post under bugs.
  10. No, didn't enable VNAV/LNAV (and then A/P) until well above 500 ft. But good thought...thanks. I'm starting to think it's a fluke...if it happens again I'll update here but so annoying after a lengthy setup.
  11. No, I didn't press any buttons by accident. It happened 3 times in a row. I kept disabling it, then flip the switch and it would immediately go to full power. I specifically mapped a TO/GA button and had not pressed it...difficult to do by accident. Maybe it's that XPUIPC thing or something. As for arming it just before departure, this pilot arms it before engine start which I thought was odd, but that's how they do it real world. I didn't do that, I armed it when I was ready to taxi. You can see it already armed right as they start engine 2 (very beginning of video), you'd have to look at the end of Part 2 to see when it was switched on. A good set of videos if you haven't seen them. Thanks.
  12. Why would the autothrottle engage (i.e., go active) in a situation where I have the throttle levers pulled back, getting ready to taxi (engines idling), arm A/T and it goes nuts like I'm taking off but have not yet hit the to/ga button. Everything looks right unless it's an odd hardware mapping problem. Only happened once so far (1.0.4) but a mystery. Thanks.
  13. Since no one else answered, IMO, I find the saab to be a much more satisfying product...with continued support and more updates coming. With regards to systems modeled in the Jetstream...I'll let someone else that's more familiar with that aspect address it (never flew it enough to care). Neither products have an FMC, if that's why you asked about an IRS.
  14. Ah, that makes sense. Annoying. What I do is copy all my downloads to a different drive so I always have them...if I need them, they're always around. When you get it working, give us an opinion. Always liked the CRJ quite a bit.
  15. No, the soundpack is an add-on, not part of the CRJ download. See the link above and click it to read about and/or purchase.
  16. As I understand it, when using SMP, cloud puffs are not used since that's the native XP weather system.
  17. Thanks sundog! Really appreciating your proactive responses, fixes and enhancements.
  18. I also had some weirdness where running mid-teens (GTX970/4790K combo) but when I entered a "no cloud" area I was only mid 20s whereas usually I'm mid 40s. I have reflections off, but shadows on. Not even sure SMP is an issue but wanted to know this: How does cloud size affect performance? Min/Max settings specifically. And what min/max settings would be most realistic? Gotta say, the clouds look amazing and still have a couple pauses for cloud repaint, but the realism is impressive. I hope the connector will help alleviate some of this pause issues. I'm definitely bumping up against my 4GB VRAM limits...waiting on the new nVidia Pascal cards. Thanks! -- Greg
  19. I had a situation where the pump would not stop running. I had to switch it to manual and operate it when the level dropped. That was quite some time ago and the current version, just thought it was a programmed "glitch". Last time I flew I disabled the autopilot and the warning chime never stopped until engine shutdown. That may have had something to do with enabling using the default XP mapped switch and then also flicking in on with the mouse and then disabling it with the mouse...not sure. You guys must hate us.
  20. Well that IS interesting...thanks for posting. Could it be flaps? Wonder if retracting flaps early would make a difference. Also wondering if XP itself (ground handling) isn't somehow the problem here.
  21. Here's an example I found of a 340 on touchdown. Warning...turn volume down, it's only music, no cockpit sounds. And that's Steve-o flying right side...for those that follow his youtube channel. @JGregory thanks for the comments...but are you saying you've never had this happen? To me it feels like having flat tires...or maybe it takes 10 seconds to back out of reverse? Because the plane won't go backwards using reverse...we wouldn't know. What exactly is the prop pitch transition time? Just seems odd...but if it happens in real life...wow. Thx again.
  22. It's enough that the plane feels like all tires are flat and you have to push the throttle far past beta to get any kind of inertia to come back into beta. I've just learned to get out of reverse super fast...but it doesn't seem right when you're stuck on the runway trying to move and it won't. That's my experience...i know the turbines are not direct coupled but it's not as if the props have stopped. EDIT: You caught me in the middle of a flight...noted when landing...reverse on rollout until 70Kts...then neutral...plane continues to slow to 30kts and then as it slows further I push the throttle forward and no reaction. I push further, then I'm out of beta, plane is now practically stopped while I'm on the runway which is unsettling (well...IRL it would be). Love the plane...as most everyone does. One other nit is I can engage the AP with the standard XP button map, but the switch doesn't move and there's no beep for disengage. I probably shouldn't be doing that...right? Thanks!
  23. Same problem...doesn't seem normal.
