  1. Hi, Scott, Didn't you and I just have e-mail exchanges? I'm confused here... As has been mentioned before, support for anything order or activation related needs to go through the appropriate channel. There is no need to be redundant, especially when we already have an open communication going. Please continue there if you have further questions!
  2. In short, yes. It is far more automated than that of the MU-2, and will allow re-activations without contacting customer support.
  3. Your best bet in this instance is to use the uninstaller and then re-install to your new version. For what it's worth: I intentionally made the installer and uninstaller NOT make any registry changes on computers. As such, you could technically have multiple installs of the CRJ in different X-Plane version folders, and each uninstaller will know/remember which install it is related to! Hope this helps!
  4. ...because it is CPU related. Two cores, and they are chugging as good as they can. I'm quite sure that if you have some kind of an activity monitor you'd probably see your CPU cores maxed to 100% utilization. More cores = better refresh.
  5. Hi, All, I'm sorry, but I disagree with all of those complaining in this topic, and for the record, I personally feel X-Aviation has the best customer support out there. Here is the deal: X-Aviation ALWAYS sends out e-mail to updates/patches. Anyone who is a customer with us on a regular basis would know this, and would also know that we have a very robust system these days that has a lot of cash invested into it to ENSURE that our customers get their update e-mails unlike some places out there. This "patch" installer today is the one exception. X-Aviation received a total of TWO support e-mails regarding installer issues yesterday. The remainder of people were here. Our records show an indication that about 95+% of people did NOT experience the problems that this "patch" installer fixes, and because of this it is not a massive, crucial update. It is a voluntary update, and it does not add any new features. It is only supposed to fix the issues seen on those select few people here in the forums. You will be seeing an update e-mail when we have bug fixes for the product itself. In such cases, we announce patch/upgrades in the forum AND through e-mail, with the e-mail always going out to customers before a post on the forums. As such, I stand by how this particular instance was handled, and am happy we were able to get something out to our customers within less than 24 hrs. I hope this is all a bit more clear now. This is already done, and if you did not receive it it either: A) Ended up in your spam box Was blocked in delivery by your ISP. Each instance is completely out of our control. You took the correct approach here. Thanks all for your understanding.
  6. Hi, All, I have patched the installer to hopefully fix all issues reported here regarding the installer. Key fixes include: 1. Paint kit files now install correctly and are placed in main CRJ folder 2. Lufthansa livery now installs correctly 3. British Airways livery now installs correctly on systems that had issues. You can access the download to this new installer by doing the following: Installation and download instructions: 1. Go to your X-Aviation order page here: https://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/account_history.php (You may need to login). 2. Find your corresponding CRJ order and click the magnifying glass icon that says "view" corresponding to that order. 3. At the bottom of this page you'll find a download link for your CRJ-200 updated installer. It will be highlighted in blue text. *********************** It is suggested that should you choose to download and use this new installer that you first uninstall your current CRJ installation. You'll find a CRJ uninstall program located in your main X-Plane folder. Additionally, I am hearing of some users with crash to desktop issues. This seems to be attributed with people not properly following prompts in the installer! Please be sure you are selecting your main X-Plane installer as the installer prompts for, and not an aircraft folder to install to! Doing the latter will result in these crashes people are speaking of. Lastly, please ensure you uninstall the CRJ hardware tester prior to installing the CRJ itself if you have not done so already. Thanks!
  7. Indeed, this is confirmed X-Plane and out of our control. This has been around for ages now.
  8. There are some minor differences in the object files. X-Plane 9 files will work in X-Plane 10, however, X-Plane 10 files will NOT work in X-Plane 9.
  9. With complexity comes confusion due to lack of reading or motivation to do so. As such, what really isn't a bug becomes one in a person's eyes. It's just a fact we have to deal with, but luckily learn early on if you pay attention to products like those that PMDG comes out with!
  10. As has already been mentioned, the reason Nova is seeing the reaction from the aircraft that he sees is because of the stated reasons, and would be seen in real life as well. From what I gather, Nova was attributing the issue to product error, when in reality it is "pilot" error.
  11. Yes, it's necessary. However, we provide you with one free, slightly outdated version of Navigraph data when you purchase the aircraft. It is pre-installed for you. It is up to you to keep the data up to date if you choose to. A large chunk thus far has been operator error sans the installer issue, which appears to only be sporadic. Given the number of sales vs. reported installer issues, our success rate still far outweighs the non-successful by a large margin. To add to that, those with minor hiccups have found the solution quickly. That said, I am investigating the installer issue on the few systems it has occurred on and will most definitely find a fix even though I can't seem to reproduce the problems so easy. In the end the decision is yours. Thanks for considering!

  13. Pete, Download links are immediately available upon successful payment. There are a few methods to obtain the link: 1. On the successful payment page after a transaction, the download link is located at the bottom of the page. This is outlined in text on that very same page! 2. An e-mail is sent out to you. This e-mail contains a link to an invoice, and at the bottom of the invoice is your download link when logged into X-Aviation.com. If you did not receive such an e-mail then your ISP has likely blocked the servers IP address. This is something out of our control. 3. You may login to your account on X-Aviation.com and view your past order history invoices. On the page, click on the magnifying glass icon that corresponds to your CRJ order. You will then be taken to your invoice, where you'll find your CRJ download link at the bottom of the page.
  14. Sure would! Even still, on a dual core you get rather used to that lag pretty quick and it is more than manageable to fly. I was in the same boat!
  15. This would be your CPU running both cores (since you're on a dual core) at 100% likely. As such, it's reaching its maximum and trying to keep up. People with more than two cores will likely never see this issue.
  16. I don't have any info on installer errors just yet, as it installs correctly on all my platforms, but: Gizmo is not the problem. It is perfectly normal that Gizmo search to see if a plane has a license, so please disregard this as a whole if you come across it in your log.txt files!
  17. Hello all! The Take Command! CRJ-200 shown in the Work In Progress section of this forum has been released and can be purchased here: http://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=68 The Work In Progress section for the CRJ-200 has been changed to a read-only forum, and all new topics regarding the scenery should be posted in the support section here: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?board=25.0 Enjoy this incredible new aircraft!
  18. This product has now been released! Please see the following topic for more info: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=2093.0
  19. Hi, Rich, With X-Plane being as cheap as $29, I think it would actually be a good choice to get it and get acquainted to the keystrokes. It's a much different paradigm than MSFS, but a GREAT one! We're more than happy to help you with questions, learning the ins and outs, and showing you around the world of X-Plane add-ons. It's also important to not that many sceneries CAN be converted from MSFS with a few simple clicks. Looking forward to seeing you around!
  20. Think it's okay considering the guy is enthusiastic about the 737 project and it seems to be the factor that has made him look into X-Plane. Welcome, bigtallman!
  21. Almost 6am. Seems like I never do at times when I pull these all day/nighters. Please do keep us posted with results!
  22. Normal, as stated by the installer if you already have it installed. Your setup appears more than capable for this aircraft. This is very odd, Simon. Let's start with the basics: 1. Run the CRJ Tester Installer. 2. When installing the C++ package, this time select to remove it. 3. After installation of the tester is finished, restart your computer. 4. Once your computer has booted back up, run the installer again. This time it should proceed with a regular C++ install without asking you to repair or remove. 5. Run the tester. If this fails, please report back here and send your log.txt file in your main X-Plane folder to me in a PM attachment.
  23. How is that so? Don't you have a relatively modern i7 setup, Simon?
  24. About the only time I've truly seen a difference is with panel night lighting.
