    New X-Plane 10 Video Released

That's not Austin's video, Arti. And it wasn't shot on the machine you suggest.
  5. I am unable to reproduce this on any iPhone or iPad. Can you show a screenshot?

    Scenery4XP Releases Seattle-Tacoma Intl

Seattle was only release this week. I'm not quite sure what you're talking about, Sethesus. Other Boeing Country packs have been released over time, but not SeaTac.
  7. Thanks. I'll look into this. Cam
  8. Jo, You'll need to submit a request to X-Aviation. If you have already done so we'll get to you shortly. If you have not, please do so. We're in a travel week this week, so we're getting to requests ASAP.
  9. Pretty cool. X-Aviation did some work this year for ICON Aircraft and we had a party during the week which we put on for various people in Oshkosh. Harrison Ford was one of our guests and was a nice guy to talk to. He has a great passion for aviation, and is especially interested in helo flying!
  10. Hi, Gene, As an X-Plane user myself going on 12 years I can certainly understand how things have just always "worked." Part of that was the simplicity level for which X-Plane offered to artists. Until the SDK came out we did not even have the ability to do things like reverse thrust animations. As time goes on and the market demands it, things like you speak of will go further and further into the realm of departing X-Plane's internal, default capabilities and more features like you speak of will break in replay mode. The only real solution here is for Austin to do a complete re-write, but knowing him as well as I do, I am quite certain this would and is not anywhere near the top of his bucket list. Not having reverse thrust animations (or flaps should it end up that way someday) show up in replay mode is not a bad compromise in my opinion when it comes to functionality during live flight. So long as we are able to push the bounds of X-Plane into a new era, I think the replay mode shouldn't be such a drawback. That said, I do realize I am one man, and this is one man's opinion. In a perfect world we would have both, but we're teeter tottering between leveraging the SDK and pushing the bounds for exceptional add-ons, or keeping thing relatively status quo just for the sake of replaying a landing and seeing an animation "go." Given the options, I'm quite confident we've made the right decision to continue to push the envelope further than what X-Plane's default engine provides, and I dearly hope other developers and distributors do the same!
  11. I do realize some people have their own reasons for things, so I'm sorry to hear your not satisfied with your purchase due to replay not showing reverse thrusters, Gene. This is really an X-Plane limitation. Using the standard dataref over our own for systems modeling purposes can cause another feature of the aircraft not to work during flight, and two datarefs cannot be tied to the same animation. Given this situation, I think it's best we opt for what works during your flight experience in real time and not what happens in replay mode. I'd like to ask...out of simple curiosity, however...what is it about a reverse thrust not showing in replay mode that makes your purchase price factor be questionable so much? What do you use it for?
  12. Goran's intentions are never good under these types of circumstances, Jim. Don't listen to him. See you soon.
  13. Hello, Wayne, This section of the X-Pilot forum is for those who have purchased from X-Aviation. Our records indicate you did not purchase the CRJ from us, so please use the appropriate support channel from where you purchased your product. More info on this is here: If you'd like to receive quick support and a personal experience for your technical support, please purchase from X-Aviation for your next purchase!
  14. Really nice work, Pete!
  15. This is your computer loading tiles in the background, not a parameter issue (dsf to dsf). If I remember correctly, your computer was a bit lower spec and is the cause of what you're experiencing.
  16. You do realize the potential to make such a change is not as simple as you're currently used to, right Dhruv? Surely you do! Bear in mind every screen is drawn through CRJ code and NOT X-Plane Planemaker displays, so insinuating something is simple when it may very well not be is probably not the best way to suggest something to people. You and I go way back as friends, so I'm comfortable telling you this. Knowing Philipp he'll implement this and get it done quickly. There's never been a time where I haven't seem him so dedicated to a project, which is even more why your harsh words in a previous post can be easily perceived as insulting. Of course, we'll be waiting and looking for the same standards upheld for your product when the day comes!
  17. I've reset your download. That said, I'm not sure how it's possible for you to "update" Gizmo. We ship with the latest version of Gizmo, and shipping with anything LOWER will cause your C400 to misbehave.

What resolution setting are you at in the X-Plane rendering settings?
  19. I've been eyeing this one for a while and considering a purchase. How do you like it, Will? Fun to fly?
  20. Hi, Careless, PMDG/MSFS are two very different things when compared to X-Plane. OpenGL vs DirectX for starters! Given your system specs, I think the first thing that sticks out is your CPU. The E7500, while great in its time, is aging relatively quick (I had an E8600). The CRJ works so "fast" with your cold and dark situation because the displays are not showing anything. These displays are primarily driven by your CPU, exhausting all CPU cores that it's able to. The E7500 is bottlenecking your 5870 (great card, by the way), which is also contributing to your lower frame rate, but not near as much as the CPU itself contributes to the operation of the CRJ. There are a few topics in this forum that have discussed ways to "preserve" fps, but overall you're not going to see a big improvement until you make the upgrade on the CPU.
  21. Of course I have, Steven. Thanks.
  22. And so now we have two. That said, Jason is out of state as mentioned and this will be on hold until he returns.
  23. What you've seen is what there is for the moment. Thanks for your interest!
