  1. I would advise it, yes. It's not necessary, but certainly redundant!
  2. If you've purchased your DVDs within the last year and a half it's fine to use the DVD installer. You can use the updater on X-Plane.com to bring things up to speed once you've got the DVDs installed.

    Skid sound

It's a default sound. You'll need to create one if you want to change it that bad (I don't think I've had the skid sound like you state on landing).
  4. Weird. I wonder why the common man can install no problem, and you can't. Oh well. I guess when one out of thousands doesn't get it it's no biggie! They did do a great job! They also didn't do what SkyMaxx Pro does when it comes to rendering (especially for X-Plane). But, that said, this product is not to compete or be a copy of REX. The approaches are different. For us, we are sticking with the solution that professional sims are using (SkyMaxx Pro is built off of SilverLining, which is also used by the likes of Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and more). Just made me laugh. Honestly, no offense taken at all. At least you've had the opportunity to compare and decide a different route is for you. Go enjoy your hobby, and have a wonderful day!
  5. No, it did not. We read every e-mail in the order received. It gained you no extra traction aside from a roll of the eyes.
  6. Check your spam box for the reply. But to re-answer your question, unzip the files. You're trying to run the installer from within the zip (which also means you DID download the files unlike you state). Don't run the installer from within the zip. Yes, you're being dramatic. Especially for someone who says they read reviews from real users. Obviously it's real.
  7. You're right. This is precisely why we include it in the installed plugin folder.
  8. Or you could just read the reply to your ticket 13 minutes after your e-mail to us. Please stop being dramatic, Romolo.
  9. It is a new installer. Not sure what you're talking about. Your link was updated with a NEW installer!
  10. Right...which all makes sense. If you read the email it's quite detailed, sir. Download the J32 again and follow the steps in your email!
  11. I think you need to re-read the email. Instructions are listed step by step!
  12. As an update to this thread, the Jetstream 32 Community Update has now been released to all customers. Instructions on installation may be obtained by checking your e-mail. Cheers!
  13. The effect is one that has major issues with various aspects of the sim, and something Laminar HIGHLY discourages from using. I personally feel it's better to wait for what Laminar has in store.
  14. Please see the last reply I made just 2-3 days ago. The answer has not changed! As this update is in no way official or supported by the vendor, there are other priorities taking place at the moment. Announcements on such things will come in the days to follow. Anyways, no sense in asking. The short answer is and always will be "yes" and nothing more to your question. Thanks for your enthusiasm though!
  15. Cool idea! That said, from a business standpoint it does not make much sense. We've learned variations don't tend to be the selling points we anticipated them to be.
  16. Any such news will be sent to your email (soon) once it's out!
  17. System clock is necessary. Perhaps try synchronization with Microsoft server time just prior to activation?
  18. I think the screenshots in the very first pic depict very well what you're going to get, Chris. Have patience and let them do their thing.
  19. Why? Was post #22 not good enough for you to care and understand? You haven't given much else ever since... I also strongly suggest you research the difference between VRAM and virtual memory. Not the same thing, and you are entirely misunderstanding the context of this conversation because of it!
  20. Stupid phone spell correct!
  21. How did you set your VRAM to 16? That makes no sense at all. I don't believe there is a consumer GPU equipped with such sizes.
  22. Hey Jerome, Appreciate the feedback, but in the future please be mindful of bringing back topics that have been idle for so long.
  23. There is no such thing. I think you're confused.
  24. Sounds like bad drivers or a going bad GPU, OR you are running out of vram. None of this sounds like a plugin issue at all.
  25. An update to this... MaxWaldorf finally responded via email with everything necessary to move forward, so this 'update' will be available to all customers. I was not going to get into this further, but I believe some people should be made aware given a recent post by Tony Altimini (MaxWaldorf) in his support thread for this add-on about what really happened (and yes, the reason it was not out yet to X-Aviation customers even though he provided a package a week ago is because of his lack of reply to e-mails or questions). In short, all Tony (MaxWaldorf) was ever asked to do was simply answer two direct questions that never got directly answered over the course of many emails. Sadly, he tended to ignore some emails instead (on purpose). If he did reply, he would evade the simple distribution term questions and sign off his e-mails with things like: "Show is over... Close the curtains." I'm not sure what provoked this arrogant side, but I tried numerous times to keep him on track and just answer the two simple questions so we were all on the same page. The questions revolved around compensation for the package (basically saying we could distribute without compensation to him) where MaxWaldorf simply needed to reply back stating he was good to have us distribute with no money owed to him (we are a payware store, after all), and the other clarifying his preferred method of distribution for this file since some things were contradicting (MaxWaldorf started off discussions saying he wanted the package in a separate file, while Javier was saying he wanted it in the User Modification folder within the package). We wanted to ensure we were respecting his distribution wishes and not stepping on any toes, so clarification was necessary for reasons like Ben's post above since X-Aviation is not the author of the package. I'm not sure why it had to take this long for such simple and straight forward speaking to be had from MaxWaldorf, but it did! All we wanted from the get-go was to be on the same page, with clear terms, and smooth sailing. Simple. Unfortunately the process was made hard for unknown reason, but oh well, it's done now. We'll do our best to get this out soon!
