It is a mix between number of roads and the number of cars If you have set number of roads very high, even a small amount of cars will be still a lot for performance due to lot of roads to fill. If you have already set cars to its lowest value, then next step would be to reduce the number of roads which will reduce number of cars present in the area to save fps. I do not know any other way to achieve that. hope this helps

arriving to Ushuaia, known as "the end of the world". It is also known for its bad weather, strong winds (50 knts average) most of the year and closer land to the Antartida. Temps gets as low as -25C at winter time

I do have that keyboard on my imac as well. Quick looks work just great!! Go to settings, joystick and assignment, keys tab. Look for "view quick look mem slots" and replace the existing saving sequence CTRL-numpad-# for another key sequence you like. I.E. i do use CTRL+CMD+#. then replace the key assignment for using them, look for "view quick look #" and replace existing viewing sequence numkeypad-# for just # (0 to 9) You are done, just press CTRL+CMD+# (0 to 9) and it gets saved on that slot. Press just # (0 to 9) to use them. You can save 10 quick looks per aircraft flawlessly (i do save captain, copilot, upper panel, main panel, pedestal, and some nice panoramic wing or landing gear views, this is a great feature LR introduced. EDIT: forgotten to explain the view assignment, not just saving.

is it possible you are running xplane 10.30bx (where x<7). I recall several people complaining about rain with no clouds at all, it was acknowledged by the developers and fixed on 10.30b7 As long as i understand if xplane doesn´t tell skymaxx that clouds are present then skymaxx doesn´t have anything to draw. But i may be wrong. Just something to confirm about your xp version.

i have updated to SMP2, hi-res puff ON, all new features ON and having the same performance than previous version while in the ground, climbing, cruising and descending. IMAC 27" here

Skymaxpro 2 ROCKS made 2 short flights for testing. No performance hit at all, but wow... those shadows over land and water are just great, clouds are more beautiful and immersive as well. Great job!!

I think you are mixing KIAS (indicated airspeed) & KTAS (true airspeed). Is that possible? At 25,000 feet, assuming average weight onboard, the Saab 340 will deliver 148 KIAS (indicated airspeed) which is 207 KTAS (true airspeed). At higher altitudes the air is much less dense so the KIAS indicator decreases due to less pressure on the tube (indicated airspeed display) but the plane is still moving fast (true airspeed) hope this helps

I think there is no such best aircraft, it really depends what you would like to simulate, then what would be the best aircraft: -Boeing 777 FF for large modern jetliner, fully fmc, computerized systems, long flights -Boeing 737-200 FJS heavy old fashion manual flying, navaids, short flights -Saab 340 for turbo prop -Carenado´s for GA i like the 172, 206 a lot Skills required to flight each category properly are substantially different and complementary.

The plane landing was a russian 767. One of the pilots had an interview. He said they were watching closely the Airbus anticipating it was likely to cross the runway so they performed a safe go around. There was no risk of collision due to clear skies and long visibility. He was worried that the ATC remained completely silent until the go around was completed and they contacted the ATC to inform the airbus crossed the runway. The ATC said sorry for that. An investigation is open and in progress

I strongly recommend you filling up a bug report to LR, just attach your metar.rwx file (found at your xplane main folder) and the airport icao code you are experiencing the weather problem. It takes a minute. They are tweaking the weather parsing algorith each new beta release. Please file a bug, you will help them in the process

it was set to low, i just set it to med as per your suggestion. i am taking off now, i will perform a few flights and see how it performs

No i didn´t. I am not at home right now but i will test it. I presume it is something like 25% (default value). Should i upgrade the gizmo as well? i will test and let you know

I presume you are setting your condition levers way too far forward and overshooting the MAX position which is not at the end of the travel leading into no enough torque for take off and climb Once you perform your engine start up procedure, be sure you advance your conditions levers just to the MAX position, do not move them to the end of its travel which is T/M. Put the camera view pointing to your levers, advance them till you see like a visual clic at the MAX position. Do not keep pushing forward at that point. you will have plenty and smooth power to climb and cruise, this is a magnificent aircraft to fly

I do have CTD randomly due to plugin silverlining at the log.txt. It is a bit frustrating but i do start over my flight when it happens. IMAC 27" OS X 10.9.3 32G RAM video GTX780. I used to have CTD on 10.25 and now on 10.30b5 as well. Different planes. Today i have had 3 crashes in a row trying to flight Chicago Midway to Houston, all of them were at cruising altitude. Uninstalled SKP and tested the same path twice. No more crashes so far. BUT i really miss skymaxxpro my skies looked much better on it and i also had better fps performance. I am a bit lost, should i try to update gizmo? configure something else? or should i wait for the next update? I will be happy to perform any testing you may require to contribute on the diagnosis thanks!!!! edit: misspelling
