Card ready. [emoji4] Thanks to the Team and Merry Xmas!

Without SMP my XP11 fps drop drastically, with it keeps running fine. This being said I cannot live without and I'm eagerly waiting for v4.

Great, looks like the real thing!

ixeg737 sometimes erroneously leave the LNAV path
crisk73 replied to Tburchard's topic in Flight Procedures and Techniques
That of the sudden LNAV deviations is a known bug of v1.0.7 (I don't recall having the issue with the previous versions) which is under investigation and hopefully will be ironed out in v1.1. In my view it is the most annoying problem of the plane right now as if VNAV still isn't tuned well, it can be put under control in v/s mode, but when you cannot trust LNAV you can never look away from the ND and that's not relaxing... -
Thank you sundog, that's a good news! 👍

Will it be possibile for the distant clouds on the horizon to get some blueish Rayleigh effect like the real ones?

For your info Joan's got a quick fix for NOAA plugin v2.4 (devel version you can download from his github or from the link at the .org) by setting the metar.rwx refresh to 5 mins. All working fine with RWC now. 👍 Edit: v2.4.1 already out with the fix.
-
I can confirm that reverting back to NOAA v2.3 (and deleting the .rwx files) bring back clouds to normal. Thanks@sundog
-
The same is happening to me, already told the NOAA plugin and VS devs, but they replied that only RWC is responsible for drawing clouds. If it can help, starting from a US airport gives no problem, in Europe I get no clouds. And more, if you start the sim in whatever US airport then clouds get "unlocked" also for Europe. Again to make some more sense... Using NOAA v2.4.0+VSv1.2+RWC on XP10.51r2. Thanks. Log.txt GizmoLog.txt MAXX_METAR.rwx 20161024_185235Zdump.txt

Hi, I would like to add this report if not already sorted out in the new v1.1. Route: LSGG RWY05 MEDAM4N MEDAM UL623 VEVAR VEVAR6C LFMN ILS04L FL250, CI=25, ZFW 46kT, FOB=5000kg Problem: on approaching LFMN, after NERAS LNAV turns northward instead of following plan to LEMPU. If anybody can confirm this behaviour. Thanks.

Just out of curiosity... the below incoming XP11 default 737NG cockpit has got somewhat IXEG style... my personal opinion. Could it be that some of you guys of IXEG had a hand on it? Free to tell lies..

I confirm that passing OTBED, LNAV is no more able to head to MONTY neither forcing it with a DIR TO. The only solution is HDG mode.

Top of Descent and 0 for missed approach altitude issues
crisk73 replied to dornier's topic in Bug Reports
Since the new 1.0.7 I'm seeing zeroes for some altitudes also in SID and STAR calculations and when it happens VNAV is not available before such waypoints. I use to delete zeroes or add some alt restrictions in place of them to make the vertical profile be calculated and VNAV then becomes available. Maybe this issue has to do with the new VNAV modifications introduced with 1.0.7. -
Thank you@mmerelles for your try. I don't think it's navdata fault as I have Aerosoft navdata and as I see the issue is the same. Removing the first two conditional waypoints (750) and (intc) and manually selecting the first non conditional one makes the magenta line be joined but I remember I did this same route with 1.0.5 without problems. Thanks again! Cris

The flightplan is: LIPX LUMA5S LUMAV UZ982 ANC UL612 TRL UJ65 BAVES LGIR LNAV is engaged but it doesn't even perform the first right turn as per SID, the plane goes straight ahead indefinitely. Can anybody replicate it please? I tried several times but without success. Using Aerosoft NavdataPro cycle 1607. Thanks. Cris GizmoLog.txt IXEG_FMS_debug.txt

Same here, using xp10.45.

The tweak is working indeed! I was able to set the vsync to 1/2 refresh through NV inspector and it actually eliminates the strange fps "heartbeat" or at least it's no more noticeable by eye while taxiing. Well, at the cost of capping frames at 30 Hz and losing some mouse sensitivity which is annoying, but the sim becomes very smooth. Great finding guys! [emoji106]
-
Mmm I have the latest drivers, maybe my mobile card (GTXm) is not supported. I'll try with nv inspector.
-
How do you lock at 1/2 refresh rate? The only option I have on the NV control panel is Vertical Sync - Activated (not Adaptive) which sets the cap at 60 Hz hence no effect on eliminating the stutters.
-
For me the stutter occurs every 3 seconds or so, very regularly with a background of extremely high frames per second, as if was caused by something not connected with the gpu or cpu load, but rather by something inside the code itself. I've put the plane on a runway in the middle of the ocean with all plugins and stuff removed from the folders but unfortunately the strange issue persists. Maybe it's more noticeable by people like me with a hw not powerful enough (double core cpu etc), but what is weird is the high fps anyway and the fact that the other heavy addons don't cause any trouble...

Yes you can use the text-to-dsf method. I normally use Overlay Editor by Marginal which is an easy go to drag your big exclusion window over large areas. If you switch on the terrain view option you can see your photoscenery below. Then it takes care of selecting the proper .dsf file to be created. But it's up to you... also WED is an option. Good work! [emoji4]
-
The optimal solution would be to create a standalone scenery made only of exclusions layers (for objects, facades, trees, roads and powelines) covering the photoscenery tiles of interest. This way you can easily enable/disable the scenery (say exclusions) in the scenery_packs.ini. As for hierarchy, the scenery has to be placed after the custom airports and prior to the generated photoscenery.

Thank you Benjamin for the tip! Whats's wrong with Jan's accent though? It's cool I definitely love it! -
It depends whether you choose to use metric (kg) or imperial (lbs) units in the preferences menu.
