  1. I have a dual core as well with 256MB VRAM. I'm running the texture resolution on very high with the anti-aliasing on two. I'm getting about 40 FPS. That is incredible considering the complexity of the plane. The SSJ brings my computer to its knees, but the CRJ is outstanding. I'm not sure why that person said it brought his computer to its knees.
  2. Pixel shaders hit the framerates pretty hard. if it was up to me, I would get rid of the pixel shaders if the fps were getting hit. I prefer to have anti aliasing so I can read the displays. 512MB card should be fine. We have a few test rigs we're trying it on and everything looks good. Awesome! It looks like the cheapest iMac will do it pretty well.
  3. Put it in a .zip format and add it as an attachment just like you would for a picture.
  4. With settings up, do you mean anti-aliasing and water reflection? I'm looking at an iMac with 512MB of VRAM.
  5. Can you put it up for download on X-Pilot too? Greatly appreciated!

  7. The funniest thing I've ever seen in X-Plane.
  8. Well, Javier approves! ;D
  9. Cool Cameron! Do you think my avionics would be smooth with a quad core i5 and the 6750 with 512 MB? Or would I need a gig of VRAM?
  10. Wow, Simon. I was cracking up! ;D
  11. Air Mexicana Looks Pretty Sharp... http://www.airliners.net/photo/Oneworld-%28MexicanaLink%29/Canadair-CL-600-2B19-Regional/1683244/&sid=ebc439b2ab670cecee8ccc506bcc5ea4 http://www.airliners.net/photo/MexicanaLink/Canadair-CL-600-2B19-Regional/1777379/L/&sid=ebc439b2ab670cecee8ccc506bcc5ea4
  12. Wow, Philipp! Nice shirt, dude! ;D
  13. In other words, those are all the specs I know, what else would you need? I don't think it is prefs, as this has been consistent since about September, though I will delete them to be sure. Click the Apple at the top of the screen and click on "About This Mac." It'll give you everything you need to know.
  14. What graphics card does it have? What frames are you getting with the CRJ? A screenshot of your renderings would be great! I'm seriously considering getting one, most likely within the next month or so. Thanks, Perry
  15. I didn't actually note anything like that with the Saratoga. I found it to be extremely docile even when adding flaps-perhaps a smidge nose up. In fact my only real complaint regarding the aircraft was even the slightest pitch up made seeing over the nose difficult which makes final approaches a bit tricky until you get used to the view. I am also curious regarding this statement: someone converting them that knows two shits about how to make a plane fly right in X-Plane. Could you elaborate further? The reason I ask is having just finished a rather exhaustive review I am sort of surprised to hear this with regard to the Saratoga. These are the first significant negative comments I have read about that particular model and Carenado in general. I just did a flight to test the flaps. When I went from none to full flaps, the nose shot up to almost 90 degrees vertical. When I took away the flaps, the nose plummeted towards the ground. Maybe I'm not at very appropriate speeds or something like that, but it shouldn't be that drastic. I have flown in GA's before and the plane did not act like that when I gave it flaps. I'm not sure how your result was the complete opposite of mine...
  16. Wow. That's really nice. This update will be a real treat.
  17. You better move!!!
  18. If the Archer matches up to the C152, I'll definitely get it. Carenado gets better every release, so I'm hoping this trend continues
  19. I doubt they would let me just put X-Plane on one of their computers and run it up...The card would probably work anyway, but it never hurts to be safe
  20. Is anybody running the CRJ with this graphics card? I want to know if the CRJ even supports it because I'm probably going to buy an iMac equipped with one of those.
  21. The 152 was a blast to fly, but the Saratoga had some very weird flight model characteristics. When I gave it flaps, the nose shot up and I had to give it insane amounts of elevator trim. I know real planes don't react to flap input at that level. If the flight model is insanely nice, I'll probably buy it. If not, I don't think many people will buy it.
  22. You're supposed to make sure your throttle is on idle the whole time while deploying thrust. Although I do this, it still behaves funny. Sometimes, it will run the throttles up to full. Maybe I'm not leaving it on idle the whole time? I'll fly tonight and see if it works fight. Probably just pilot error.
  23. +1. I'm on the fence about this one still. If it has new features, I'll get it, but if not, I'll wait for a bigger and better plane.

    CRJ-200

Well said. If you don't have this, you should really consider it!
