  1. I think NOAA Weather overrides all other settings and will always load real weather. Try removing this, then you should be able to set the weather manually. Hope this helps.

  2. And I was using the latest SMP4.1 as of yesterday morning when that all happened. In the past you had stated that NOAA was down and causing the issue so maybe thats all it was yesterday morning. Either way, all is fine now.

  3. Well, the xEnviro folks may have nailed it. They pointed out that my log file indicated a slightly out of date video driver and apparently some recent Nvidia drivers had been buggy. Updated those and pushed the weather update out beyond every 5 minutes (to 10), loaded all of my plugins (said to heck with it) and set off on a 264nm test flight. Made it through the entire flight successfully....finally. Time will tell if that holds up, but I'm cautiously optimistic that the problem's solved for now.

  5. @Hueyman ! If you want to pay...we can arrange something...! LOL! Now. seriously... it is something that I'm building back from...2012. This one is based in the XP9 Avanti...although at this point very little have been remained unchanged. Currently. external objects are from JRollon's XP-10 Avanti, used under his Majesty...Austin's permission! Moreover, Avanti is 2 things for me. Firstly, is kind of hobby. Like...leaving other projects for X-Plane I'm working on, to get some rest...by working on Avanti! I'm X-Plane-twisted, I acknowledge! Second, it is a test bed to try various things, that will find their way to other aircraft projects. About liveries. At this point (2.0) only the default livery, and the Icarus (with the logos of X-Aviation and Gizmo64, who provide their support on this project) will be included. The reason is that I have already started remodelling the fuselage and the cabin, but I don't want to hold the plane from releasing it. This might take a while and will have all new UV mapping, and of course a paintkit.

  6. Thanks for the nice feedback! We will need to re-tune the aircraft when XP11 is "final" - if you feel REALLY enterprising you can do this: Disclaimer: All this at your own risk. Don´t come crying if you *** up your aircraft and run out of activations because you need to re-install your messed up aircraft file. FIRST: MAKE A COPY OF THE .acf file!! Run the aircraft in XP10 at a certain speed and altitude, i.e. 5000 feet and 250 kts. Output "drag" to your screen. Note the value. EDIT: At 250kts, 5000´ and 100.000lbs (45.450kg) this should be 6460lbs of drag. Open the aircraft in Plane Maker for XP11 (root folder) and browse to Standard/Fuselage/Section Play with the value for "body coef of drag" (you will need to increase it) until your results for 5000 feet and 250kts match up with XP10 (6460lbs of drag) The results for other speeds won´t be perfect (since the shape of the drag curve has also changed for XP11) - but will get you back into the ballpark. 7. XP11 is not officially supported. Lots of changes to drag, so this is not surprising. Jan

  8. Ok, took a few shots for you guys - so you know that we are not making this stuff up : Distance to go and ETA for next active waypoint displayed on top line of EHSI: Improved symbology when IRS units not aligned: INOP labeling on the TERRAIN button of First Officer (yes, we are working on having it display on his side, too). Also new EGPWS control panel: INOP label on logo light switch if winglets are fitted: lbs labeling on the fuel gauges if imperial units are chosen: Opening cockpit door (note that the cabin is still WIP and will improve in the future (better 3D/textures/lighting): TERRAIN ON DISPLAY button, and TCAS symbology (showing a proximity traffic): Cheers, Jan
