The first (technically fourth, but I only came up with the idea today) of my new adventure in X-Plane: A trip around Europe! This leg - Southampton (SOU/EGHI) to Hamburg (HAM/EDDH). Climbing out of EGHI - This is my first full flight with Skymaxx v2 since I've been on Holiday, and boy, it is Gorgeous! And leveling off over Heathrow, with extra beacon! Afraid I didn't take any more shots after this as it got dark, but there was only a mildly bumpy (and ever-so-slightly rainy) landing in Hamburg so a good start to the trip!

Finally got a chance to check out all the buzz my fellow R/W pilots friends are talking about, taking the B58 Baron with SMP & XPX .30b8 around the circuit; wow!! this is smooth as silk.

Tonka and Guy, Thanks so much for all your advice above, I have to admit I have always been a bit tentative to post on forums and as a result hadn't until now. Your willingness and enthusiasm is such a reassurance for a noob like me! I'm in the process of starting a beaufighter (the RAAF version as that's where im from) and will hopefully have something to show in the coming weeks ( fingers crossed). In the mean time I'll be waiting to see more from Tonka the polygon master Model on! Tin Cam

Gerhard, Quit making a bunch of something out of nothing. Why don't you create a support ticket at X-Aviation and just request 1.3.3 if you want it so bad? I really don't understand your behavior here. 2.0 only adds new features, not takes any away. Therefore, if you wanted to, you could essentially set the defaults that were present from 1.3.3 and be done with it. We have had a number of customers do this with success. Perhaps listening to what is being told to you by people like John about using the UI to adjust items to your liking would be the smart thing to do. No Jedi Knight included.

Aerobask's DA 42 v2.0 (with my G1000 mod v1.5) from Innsbruck to Salzburg: Unfortunately the weather was too good for SkyMaxx showing its abilities And I love that lens flare... About the aircraft: It's a strange thing. The real Diamond DA-42 is, for my taste, not a very beautiful aircraft; it looks as if somebody has attached two overpowered engines to a small glider. However, I like Aerobask's rendition of this aircraft very much. It does not look photorealistic, not the style like Carenado and others have. Instead, it looks like from a glossy brochure, where everything is just too shiny to be real. Also, the avionics are X-Plane standard and therefore have only superficial similarities with a real G1000 (not even with my modifications). But still: This is a good X-Plane model. Flies fine and I might say (from what I've read about the real DA-42) quite believable for me.
