  5. Flying from Denver to Las Vegas with the FF 757-200PW/Flight time 1 hour 11 minutes I ended up having to deal with a landing gear fire on approach and extremely low visibility. That was indeed challenging, but in the end i landed safely in Vegas

  6. Yeah, keep cheering. I have to put up with an angry Spanish wife who has 2 sisters and 2 brothers...and every single 1 of them, including my wife, is a soccer fanatic. She ain't happy!

  8. I have not words... thank you very very very much. By the way, although I can fly RealLandIsrael without problems I get this error in the log.txt, I hope this can help you: +------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0:00:32.223 E/SYS: | Error loading the scenery package: 0:00:32.223 E/SYS: | Custom Scenery/RLIAutogen07/ 0:00:32.223 E/SYS: | The scenery may not look correct. 0:00:32.223 E/SYS: | Please see the log.txt file for detailed error information. 0:00:32.223 E/SYS: | (io_dsf.cpp:670) 0:00:32.223 E/SYS: +------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0:00:32.223 E/SCN: Custom Scenery/RLIAutogen07/Earth nav data/+30+030/+32+034.dsf: 0:00:32.223 E/SCN: Unable to locate object: lib/flags_world/isreali.obj Clean exit from threads. Following instructions I have installed Flags of the world, but they are installed in Custom Scenery (following TXT instructions), not in Lib... maybe that is the problem? I have copied also the Mesh fix +32+034.dsf in Global Scenery/+30+30, but the error route says Custom Scenery/RLIAutogen07/Earth nav data/+30+030/+32+034.dsf

  10. Learning about VOR/NDB navigation, I found useful and valuable info with several tutorials and exemples and charts. Even if old and not made for X-Plane, the theory and technics are the same. http://www.navfltsm.addr.com/index.htm http://www.flightsimbooks.com/learning/ and you can find all kind of other old books there http://www.flightsimbooks.com/

  11. I rarely join a conversation on the forums, but I have to agree with Ben on this. Someone is putting in a significant effort to provide a service to the community. I use that service frequently when flying in regions of the world that are not my usual areas. They do the research for me. @cptcaptain - You seem to contradict yourself. You first say that this is "One of the best sites to search for scenery..." and then you later say "Which value?" It seems to me that you have proven that you have value for their service by the mere fact that you complain that it is no longer free. In my case the choices seem clear - use it, or do not use it.

  13. Jorik, This would not be a good idea. There are many interactions (radio frequencies, nav path, etc.) that would not work or, worse yet, cause conflicts with the current systems.

  14. Which value? A google map with user submitted airports? Some of the links are not even up to date, so why pay for? I just think its not ok to take money for something, what someone else provides as freeware.
