  3. The wait is over, and after 3 months of work, the X-Plane 10 New Zealand Pro scenery is released! X-Plane 10 New Zealand Pro is a complete replacement scenery package for New Zealand (North and South island). It is a combination of two parts. An extremely high resolution base mesh (even a bit higher than the other HD Scenery Mesh regions) with updated (and more detailed) landclass data (riverbeds, mines and morains are entirely new - compared to default Global Scenery), very detailed road / railroad/ powerline vector, and highly accurate water data (you should find most of the relevant rivers / streams, tiny lakes, and more detailed coastlines). An additional overlay scenery, which adds treelines (this time they are "real", derived from GIS data) and tons of objects (mostly houses, but there are also barns, churches, substations, schools, hospitals, shelters - outside the area, which are filled in by XP10 autogen). This scenery is for X-Plane 10 only, and ideally, you should have X-Plane 10.20 Beta 5 or above (as it brings some art assets - textures - in its default set, which NZ Pro uses). But don't worry, if you have an earlier version of XP10, there is a "workaround" for you on the download page. Best of all - as always - this scenery is donationware! Which means, you can freely download and use it, and if you like, you might donate for it (and even then, you decide what its worth for you). The link below will bring you to the - obligatory - screenshots (lots of before-after shots included): https://picasaweb.go...alandProRELEASE And here you go to my website, where the download links and detailed instructions can be found: http://www.alpilotx....ew-zealand-pro/

  5. Yes Method 1: Import the LOWI custom scenery DSF into WED, find the exclusion, delete It, Export Scenery Pack. WED: http://developer.x-plane.com/tools/worldeditor/ Method 2: Use OE (Overlay Editor), Go to the LOWI Custom Scenery, Select Exclusion, Delete (sorry, not too familliar with OE, but it also works) OE: http://marginal.org.uk/x-planescenery/tools.html - CK

  7. well.. I am programming the best I can with my skills of programming I got. I am going desperately slow because I have to try - error -try until the logic in c++ is going ok. For sure one good programmer would go faster and could simulate all the systems .. but the only thing I can say is i am doing my best in that area. Some of the things you mention are planned to do (if I am able to do them). Right now I have simulated the XFeed fuel function (incredible there is not any one like that in X-Plane default instruments, and I had to write several lines of code to simulate fuel burning acuratelly).. Did some electric system simulation.. and right now I am in the process of starting engines Automatically with their hotstarts, Overcurrents etc... so among a forest of code. But everyday my programming skill are increasing good and if I don't find any imposible barrier, I will try to simulate the more I can... if not in the first 1.0 version.. in future ones. But I pretend to release the plane with a cheaper price than the CRJ200 for sure... working very hard every day to try end it before christmass.

  8. As I had to interrupt the work on my scenery due to too much stress on the job, and on the other hand some people were waiting anxiously for a realease , I decided to upload it in the current state. I'd say it is finished about 97% for V1.0. Nevertheless, I will continue to work on the scenery when I have more time. In later releases, I plan to add ATC taxi routes, houses in the vicinity of the airport, maybe an orthophoto at the airport, more ground markings, oil spills, this and that ... There are still some things missing and/or buggy, like the curved lead in lights for RWY 05, some textures for the runways, the PAPI for RWY 23, some (minor) bugs in the elevation of the mesh, roads, etc.. But I think the scenery is "flyable". It isn't an "official" release, so I decided not to upload it here on x-pilot. You can download it here (german site). Click the "Download" button (easy, isn't it? ) After unzipping the downloaded file, you get 3 folders: P_Madeira_12-11-12 P_Madeira_a_roads_12-11-12 P_Madeira_mesh_12-11-12 Simply place them in your Custom Scenery folder. Have fun (hopefully). If you have other issues than the above described, please let me know. EDIT: you have to turn "runway follow terrain contours" ON. EDIT 2 (it was too late yesterday night ): if not already done, please install OpensceneryX and FF Library.
