Rainbo77 Posted June 19, 2015 Author Report Posted June 19, 2015 Definitely not correct. Are you sure you installed in your X-PLANE root folder. Yes my X-plane is in the Program files (x86) folderThe toolbar has gone now and I have instead a small toolbar with activation, shell, preferences & console only? Quote
Ben Russell Posted June 19, 2015 Report Posted June 19, 2015 Those are the default Gizmo tools and indicate that the plugin is working correctly. Quote

JGregory Posted June 19, 2015 Report Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) The toolbar has gone now and I have instead a small toolbar with activation, shell, preferences & console only? This tells us that Gizmo us running properly but the Saab scripts are NOT. It sounds like the installation was not done correctly. You should NOT unzip the installer inside the X-Plane folder. Unzip the installer on your desktop and run it from there. Rainbo77 Posted June 19, 2015 Author Report Posted June 19, 2015 I strongly suggest you remove X-Plane from this folder. It is known to cause some major issues for X-Plane. Glad you like it!Thanks for the help, does this require a fresh install or can I just move the folder? Sorry if this is a noob question, I was a microsoft man for over two decades and only recently switched to X-plane Quote

Are you able to load any of the other Saab variants (Cargo, AEW)? If so, do they work OK? Quote

If so, do they work OK?I can load the other variants, and although the I can still manipulate the switches etc in the cockpit they have no effect & no gizmo toolbar eitherI've attached a pic of the aircraft on loading is it normal for all doors etc to be open? I should add the download and installation of the update was trouble free no error messages. Quote

Since all variants are not working and no one else is reporting the error you have, my guess is the aircraft and/or Gizmo is not installed correctly. You will probably need to uninstall and re-install. If you don't know how to do that, Cameron can direct you. Quote

However it has new issues now, it refuses to start via battery/gpu or auto start with my joystick connected. I started the aircraft today with the joystick unplugged had a quick flight, stopped and reset to a new flight at another airport and was able to start with the joystick connected.I exited the sim, started it again and tried to start with joystick still connected, nothing, It just keeps hanging at 30 degrees egt until I reset the situation and have unplugged the joystick. I am also having issue with the dials being unresponsive to the mouse, course, heading, radios,Vspeed etc the only one which works is the baro setting on the Alt. Also When I open the user preferences tab on the toolbar every time I click a tick box for heading/course pop-up etc the console box opens up? I will add my log files for you to check, Thanks and sorry about this GizmoLog.txtLog.txt Edited June 24, 2015 by Rainbo77 Quote

If you are referring to the Condition Levers, they need to be re-mapped anytime you re-start the sim or re-load the Saab. Also, the Throttle Levers need to be at Ground Idle for startup. I am also having issue with the dials being unresponsive to the mouse, course, heading, radios,Vspeed etc the only one which works is the baro setting on the Alt. The logs you attached do not have any reference to an error related to the user preferences. The GizmoLog is basically indicating that there are missing files. I don't know how that can be if you did a fresh install. Please verify that the following files are installed... Aircraft -> X-Aviation -> Saab 340A -> Passenger Variant -> resources -> files -> S340Adate.txt Aircraft -> X-Aviation -> Saab 340A -> Passenger Variant -> resources -> PLII -> -> files -> PLII_WDGT.txt Also please check the Cargo and AEW variants as well. Ok I have tried starting the aircraft with the Cl's mapped & unmapped to the spare throttle axis on my joystick and throttle set at ground idle. again I tried both combinations of joystick mapped/unmapped to the CL's for a battery, gpu, auto start none of which worked only when I unplug the joystick can I get the aircraft to start.but if I reset the situation, change the variant or location (after a successfull start with it unplugged) and leave the joystick plugged in, it will start. It seems to be just the first time it's loaded up that it wont start with the joystick plugged in. I will attach a screenshot of the error msg as I'm not sure which log to send you. I checked all variants for both the files you listed and they are present. Edited June 24, 2015 by Rainbo77 Quote
