Goran_M Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 No. The FMS was modeled and textured, but not included in the final package. This is for possible future development. Quote
Goran_M Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 Maybe. We'd like to do one, but it's a lot of work. Let us get the Citation out first and we'll re-evaluate where we stand. Quote
Vantskruv Posted January 8, 2016 Report Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) So, it would be a nice with a FMS...I totally hate the Garmin. Edit: Is it not possible to integrate X-FMC on a 3D-panel, relieving the programming? Edited January 8, 2016 by Vantskruv Quote

Edit: Is it not possible to integrate X-FMC on a 3D-panel, relieving the programming? They probably could add X-FMC in if they wanted to. Knowing the team though, everything should be done right or not at all, and I doubt X-FMC would be considered satisfactory. Quote

-VETTE Posted January 8, 2016 Report Posted January 8, 2016 I'm very happy to hear that there are no X-FMC plans. Unless they can get the Universal UNS-1LW (the only FMC I've seen in the Saab and many other turboprops) very well, I wouldn't want an FMC. I'm guessing many people would, but it takes some guts to release a plane without an FMC, and it shows me that LES strives for realism, whether it includes an FMC or not. Quote
Vantskruv Posted January 8, 2016 Report Posted January 8, 2016 Looks interesting this UNS-1LW. Of course it should be realistic, I only want something that works on not some halfdoing, which the GNS530 is. It is buggy and not fully implemented, and it would also be nice to be able to run some STAR:s and SID:s. Though I confess I prefere VOR/VOR navigation, but it would be nice to have a fully functional system than a something just half working. Quote

We don't create add ons that are half done, but in the case of the Garmin, our customers were screaming for something they could use for online flying (SID's and STAR's). An FMC would have taken at least a year to develop. The Garmin was the logical choice. Edited January 8, 2016 by Goran_M 2 Quote
Rodeo Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 FWIW, the X-Plane 10.30+ Garmin does neither SIDs nor STARs, only final approach + transition Not sure about the real unit. Quote

alexzar14 Posted May 1, 2016 Report Posted May 1, 2016 Me too want a 340B with a proper FMS by a year 2018 knowing the time these developments take ))) Also, I'm afraid (I have this theory...) the developers don't develop stuff that doesn't pay. Once the 340A is sold, that's it, next case. But to me as a user it makes a difference what plane there is done with an FMS. There may be some other plane some one else will develop, but it is A340B I want (yes I'm a little baby, I want Saab 340 with the FMS!) It is a popular 90s/00s plane, the equivalent to a 737 in the regional segment. Quote

It have the "synchr" function and will synchronise your LNAV leg with Garmin. Only LNAV, VNAV and speeds can not be transfered to Garmin. I use EFASS on the second PC, it give me FP with SID, STAR and currently (for SAAB) T/C and T/D Edited May 1, 2016 by head_check Quote
