Just finished the last 787 preview, wingbounce much better and lots of liveries. To quote Goran, I can confirm this is most definitely not a study sim, more for the casual user. Hmmm, now I'll have time to film other planes, cough, cough!

It should be out in a week

You know from the last vids, he has made some serious progress on this plane. The cockpit looks pretty good. Does anyone know the final asking price on this puppy. I might just have something to play with this Summer. Looks like a few of the big dogs are going to come out and play around Christmas.... Cough..... CRJ.....

yeah I know.. The one good thing about planes like this are the fact that most people can run them on there machines. The modeling is not too crazy in poly counts etc. The stuff that XA puts out is heads above anything running on x-plane, I have them all,but they are all very demanding of a great machine to properly run on. Something like the 787 is a good mix of everything; brand new plane that no one has done, the need for virtual cockpits, runs great on most machines with a nice resolution, and just a solid plane; not over-complicated or simple but solid.

Yep, a good summary, cal! But there is probably more texturing in one of the Sundowners rocker switches than the entire 78 cockpit. So yeah, xa are another level above. Oh, just got Nils helo on sale- Tom is right, those dials are amazing

Well yes, the interior textures on the sundowner are amazing, but don´t even think about running it if you don´t have at least a 512MB VRAM available - at least if you don´t want to lower your rendering settings. And even my 512MB Cards gets maxed out sometimes, when I use the Sundowner with highly detailed airport and photoscenery.

So I think that Heinz might hit the "sweet spot" of the mass marked, since a lot of people don´t have up to date computer systems but want a quality airliner. Indeed it looks as if Heinz found a good compromise between features and performance - judging from your previews, obviously I can´t comment on the flight model or the systems modeling. But to be honest that might work in favour of the 787, too. While it looks as it won´t be a study sim, a lot of people don´t want to read through pages of manuals and checklists just to start the engines. And you also have to keep in mind that we fly our planes in single pilot operations, so a exact replica puts a lot of workload on one person since most real world airliners are intended to be flown by two or more persons.

sorry, can't divulge. more than a discounted Yak55 but less than a Bugatti Veyron. it's a fair price.

Well that sure gives us a good estimate of the price  ;D Jk Simon :)

You have got to be kidding??

They put it on sale before it's finished???

Nicolas pays his developers on a monthly basis so it seems as if it isn't finished by end of June, Heinz misses out on money until end of July.

Not 100% certain of that but that's certainly what it seems like.

Will wonders never cease.
