Hi,

Upon purchase you'll be issued a single computer license, however, we are working to further automate this to enable multiple computers that you may own without having to contact us at all. Until this is in place, we are working on multiple licenses on a contact basis, but you do NOT have to purchase multiple copies of the aircraft.

Simply use the contact form on X-Aviation to arrange for this: http://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/contact_us.php

This is a very quick process!

scubajaun,

First, make sure that you press and "Hold" the enter key until the waypoint is accepted.  I just checked this in the sim and it is working as expected.

Let me know how it goes.

Hello Jim, and thanks for the quick response.

I am still trying without success,

1. Press the FPL Key on the MFD to bring up the Active Flight Plan window.

2. If you are in 2D Mode press the READY PAD Button in the upper right corner of the Active Flight Plan Window to bring up the ReadyPad.

3. Press the INIT Key on the ReadyPad.

4. On the ReadyPad turn the small FMS Knob to the right to bring up the Waypoint Information Window.

5. Using the alphanumeric keys enter the first waypoint (DSD) and press (hold) the ENT Key to accept the entry.

6. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to enter the remaining waypoints; MAVER, BTG, and KPDX.

I got the first waypoint in but when I press the INIT key the entry is deleted and can't continue entering the subsequent waypoints. how do I move to the next waypoint?

I also noticed that with the FMS NAV/COM knob the exterior knob has 2 + arrows I would expect that the right side brings the big + arrow and the left side a big - arrow, but on the left side i get a big + arrow too.

How do I enter the speed and altitude for the waypoints (asumming I get the waypoint entry sorted out)

Thanks for the help and for a really nice addon

scubajuan,

OK, I see the problem.  The tutorial is not correct, I apologize,  use these steps (as per the POH)...

1. Press the FPL Key on the MFD.

2. If you are in 2D Mode – Press the Ready Pad button in the upper right corner of the Active Flight Plan Page to "pop-up" the ReadyPad.

3. A waypoint will be highlighted in the Active Flight Plan Page.

4. Turn the small FMS Knob to the right to display the Waypoint Information Window:

5. Press one of the five "Type"" keys on the ReadyPad to indicate the type of waypoint you want to enter; APT, VOR, L/L, FIX, or NDB:

6. Using the ReadyPad alphanumeric keypad, enter the identifier of the waypoint – when you have completed the entry, the name of the waypoint and its type, will display.

7. Once you have entered the correct waypoint, press (and HOLD) the ENT Key on the ReadyPad until the waypoint is accepted.

Repeat steps 4 through 7 to enter another waypoint.

Sorry for the confusion.

You can not enter speeds as that is not a capability of the C400 and there is no autothrottle. You can not enter altitudes as this plane is not WAAS equipped and therefore there is no VNAV capability.  I may add the ability to enter altitudes at a later date for reference purposes.

I will look in to the large + and - arrows and see what's up.

Thanks for the input.

Jim.

scubajaun,

Thanks for reporting this.  The "type" of knob for the page selector was incorrectly entered and will be fixed in the first update.

I still don't seem to get it. After I succesfully entered waypoint 1, I

1. turn the small fms knob again to the right

2. select the type of navaid (vor, fix...)

3. and now I can't enter any kind of identifier.

???

EDIT: Got it: Press the right "SEL" button before the small fms knob!

OK, so that everyone is clear, here are the steps to enter a waypoint:

1. Press the FPL Key on the MFD.

2. If you are in 2D Mode – Press the Ready Pad button in the upper right corner of the Active Flight Plan Page to "pop-up" the ReadyPad.

3. The selected waypoint will be highlighted in the Active Flight Plan Page.  NOTE:  Use the SEL Key to change the selected waypoint if necessary.

7. Once you have entered the correct waypoint, press and "hold" the ENT Key on the ReadyPad until the waypoint is accepted.

8. The Waypoint Information Window will close and the waypoint ID will appear in the appropriate field of the Active Flight Plan Page.

9. To enter the next waypoint press the SEL Key on the ReadyPad to advance the FMS to the next waypoint and then repeat steps 4 though 8.

The POH and tutorial will be changed in a future update.

First issue I see to report is that the wheels float above the ground. It's most noticeable on the front.

Very nice aircraft though. Enjoying it immensely, especially now I have permission to use it as a substitute for the SR22 on my VA's tours :D

kesomir,

I have made some adjustments for this and the changes will be included in the next release.

Thanks,

Hi Jim,

When are you expecting to achieve your next release ? I just want to be sure to buy the updated version of your plane before my purchase (because the updating system by Gizmo is not working yet).

Congratulations for your plane and the exhaustive manual you wrote for it.

Daniel.

Daniel,

Thanks for the nice comments.

I'm not sure when the next release (update) will be.

I can assure you that if you purchase the plane now you will have no problems updating it when the release is ready ;)

Daniel,

Whether you purchase today or the day of the patch release, you're not going to be getting the version any sooner than anyone else.

All updates will be provided in two methods once we are confident in the two. You will have the option to update in sim, or download a zip file and update the product yourself manually.

What exactly are you questioning? The oil pressure low? Are you saying that it is like this everytime you load the aircraft?

Your log file also indicates you have done some form of editing to the acf file. Even if something simple, but something that you've edited and re-saved the aircraft file for. Can you shed some light on any changes you've made?

Posted

I have not made any changes to the aircraft.

What I'm wondering is why is everything loading on both Garmin G10000's?

The flight plan interfaces (both pages, you just can't see them because I didn't click on the right GPS yet), the Ready Pad is opened, every single interface is opened on top of each other on the left Garmin, etc...

This started today, and I haven't opened this plane in Plane Maker, and have made no changes to any of the files.  The problem with this issue is that it makes the plane totally un-flyable.  You can no longer use the Garmin to enter GPS data, the engine instruments are not useable, and the left Garmin's flight information will not toggle through any of the available settings, it just has everything open on top of each other...

Not sure what caused this, or how it can be fixed.  Possibly a fresh download, and install?

Come to think of it, I may have done a batch conversion through plane maker, but doubt that this caused any problems, seeing how I used the Corvalis shortly after that with no problems.  Unless of course the new DRM has some sort of time release self destruct mechanism...

Anyway, I hope that this can be solved fairly easily, and painlessly.

Posted

Hi, there,

The DRM is not causing the issue, but it IS letting us know that the aircraft has been altered.

Your batch conversion may have messed some setting up that is toying around with the G1000 plugin. It is quite evident the acf file has been changed, whether you meant to or not.

Safest and easiest bet here is to do a complete re-install (not of Gizmo) of the aircraft from the original zip. If you don't have this available to you you'll need to use the contact form on X-Aviation to request the new download. Please be sure to include your order number.

Posted

Yep that's what I'm gonna have to do I guess...  Maybe someone can look into the issue of a batch conversion messing up the aircraft and possibly the plugin?  From now on, I guess I better keep products I download from X-Aviation out of the aircraft folder during batch conversions and keep a copy of the original zip file.  Come to think of it I may have saved the un-zipped aircraft on my external hard drive previous to the batch conversion.  I will check that out before I send any emails about new download links though...
