MrAviation Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 Hi there, just curious if it is still in the development phase, or the alpha/beta testing phase.. Kind Regards! Quote
Goran_M Posted March 14, 2015 Author Report Posted March 14, 2015 Work continues. Jim is still programming and I'm going over 3D mesh and, with Theo no longer with us, I'm continuing texturing also.Definitely getting there. Quote
MrAviation Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 Awesome, good to hear from you Goran. (: Quote
Cameron Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 Awesome, good to hear from you Goran. (: It's not as close as you're hoping. While a ton of work has been done, more remains. We'll update everyone when we're ready. No need to keep asking as much as we appreciate the excitement. Quote
FloB Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 Goran said by the middle of the year - IF everything goes well. Taking into account that never ever everything goes well I assume we should be happy to have it in our hands by the end of this year. At least I would be. Flo Quote
Cameron Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 Any updates? FAQ Sure. Read post #229. Quote
MrAviation Posted July 4, 2015 Report Posted July 4, 2015 Hey There, Any updates? Its been a while since I've heard from this project! Quote
Goran_M Posted July 4, 2015 Author Report Posted July 4, 2015 No updates to speak of. Programming continues. There's a lot of internals in a private jet. Especially to the level we're making it. 2 Quote
JustinWheat Posted July 5, 2015 Report Posted July 5, 2015 I would like to add if the Citation is going to be anything like the SAAB 340 it will be AWESOME. I picked up the Saab 340 this weekend and it has blown me away. Great job LEADING EDGE SIMULATIONS!!!!!!!!! 1 Quote
minetaspotting Posted July 6, 2015 Report Posted July 6, 2015 So I spoke with some people over at Carenado and they said they plan on converting the Citation II from FSX/P3D to X-Plane sometime later. What will your approach be to convince me to purchase your C550 over Carenados? For example, what details or features of this C550 will stand out from the rest of the other pay ware aircraft for X-Plane? It seems like your taking a lot of time with HD texturing and mapping. That might be one detail. Quote

That might be one detail. First of all, we will never say "ours is better because of this, this and that". Our philosophy has, and always will be, let the work speak for itself.Everything we do in an add on, we build on it in the next add on.We don't really like sharing what tech we've added to our works in progress, but in saying that, if you like the Saab, and the systems accuracy we achieved in that, then you can get a pretty good idea with the accuracy and fidelity we have in store for the Citation. And then some. Edited July 6, 2015 by Goran_M Quote

That might be one detail. I do not know anything about FSX/P3D Carenado's, i do run XP only. But i can tell i do own several Carenado's for XP and while their texturing/lighting, eye candy in general is great, their system modeling, procedures and aircraft behavior are not there by a large margin Eye candy wise Carenado's and LES's are on par to me. But you should get the LES Saab 340 to see what a class study sim is all about and if you already own any XP's Carenado then you can answer by yourself. Short answer: you should wait, trust me. Quote

The list of things that were wrong with Carenado's Citation was extensive. Disappointingly so if you caught my review in PC Pilot magazine. I'm talking everything from basic stuff (turn off one generator and both gen lights failed) to advanced stuff. I don't know where they sit in their corrective measures at this point, but I am looking forward to the X-Aviation Citation in X-Plane. BeachAV8R Quote
Goran_M Posted July 26, 2015 Author Report Posted July 26, 2015 (edited) We are working very hard to make it as accurate and comprehensive as possible, and we think everyone who has the chance to fly it, will be more than pleased with the fidelity. Edited July 26, 2015 by Goran_M Quote
AtomicFrawg Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 If its anything like the Saab, I will be enjoying flying the crap out of it. Quote
PlasmaPete Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 (edited) Any news? release this summer?! Edited August 2, 2015 by PlasmaPete Quote
Goran_M Posted August 2, 2015 Author Report Posted August 2, 2015 Too hard to say. We're hitting the realism pretty hard on this one. Because of this, it's almost impossible to determine anything. Quote
PlasmaPete Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 take all the time it takes to hit thats realism where it hurts! Quote
minetaspotting Posted September 20, 2015 Report Posted September 20, 2015 Is there any chance we can see how the exterior is coming along? It seems like you guys are mostly focusing on the avionics and panel, haven't seen much of the outside. Quote

It seems like you guys are mostly focusing on the avionics and panel, haven't seen much of the outside. Not just yet. I'm adding a lot more detail (3D mesh and texture) than what was previously shown. When I'm happy with what I have, I'll post a series of screenshots. 2 Quote
