Yes they are, and we should have put them in the Operations Reference doc. Sorry about that.

Hello Graeme.

Is there any NAV/ DAT/ or SUR/ equipment to be filed in item 18?

Kind Regards,

You're welcome. For anybody else wondering what is actually being discussed here, it's the flightplan equipment codes that indicate the aircraft navigation and communication capabilities.

Is NAV/SBAS required?

Covered by equipment B and PBN/S1.

However in the world of simulation, I often add it so that an unaware virtual ATC in a network would have a direct reference in natural language.

Even though it's covered in equipment fields, operators still file NAV/SBAS.

For reference, this is what I am using: PBN/A1B2B3B4B5D1S1   NAV/SBAS DAT/1FANS2PDC SUR/260B RSP180

Yes. You need to specify it if you insert the G equipment code, even though it is covered by B equipment code. PBN/S1 has nothing to do with SBAS.
