09tir98 Posted May 23, 2020 Report Posted May 23, 2020 (edited) Hello! Congratulations on the update, been looking forward to it! You've finally added scroll wheel support BUT the direction is the opposite direction of every single other addon which makes it a bit annoying to use. For example in the 733 scrolling up on the altitude selector decreases the altitude whereas in every other addon it would increase the altitude. Is there any chance you'd consider changing this or adding an option to change it? Edited May 23, 2020 by 09tir98 5 Quote
Litjan Posted May 23, 2020 Report Posted May 23, 2020 Oh, ok - that is interesting! I will talk to Tom about it, but that should be possible... Thanks for the feedback, Jan 3 Quote

Thanks for the feedback, Jan yep, would be cool! after all this is a Classic and not an Airbus that has to do things the wrong way round ;-) 3 Quote
Benweston Posted May 24, 2020 Report Posted May 24, 2020 (edited) After flying around for a bit I kinda got used to it but with every single P3D addon using scroll the ‘other’ way I think it will become annoying if you hop between sims a lot. The accuracy of manipulating the controls sure has improved a lot though. It’s nice not to open and close the window blind when clicking on the pack switches! Edited May 24, 2020 by Benweston Quote
okernel Posted May 24, 2020 Report Posted May 24, 2020 Actually, for me it is correct. Seems like we might need an option to scroll either way. Quote

We just had an internal discussion about this, and it's going to require going through 200 manipulators to correct them. It's not as simple as a programming option, unfortunately. It's looking like it'll either need to be one way or the other. Quote
okernel Posted May 24, 2020 Report Posted May 24, 2020 Hmmm ... then I vote to leave it as it is Quote
Super27 Posted May 24, 2020 Report Posted May 24, 2020 Hi, First of all a big Thank you for the new update! Love the mouse wheel scroll function, but it seems that the direction of rotation is indeed opposite to all other aircraft in X-Plane. Would be nice if the devs could take care of it. Thanks! Quote
Super27 Posted May 24, 2020 Report Posted May 24, 2020 Hi, During my first flight with the new version, noticed that the orange bugs on both ASIs cannot be moved using the mouse scroll wheel. Would be nice if this could be implemented. Thanks! Werner Quote
Litjan Posted May 24, 2020 Report Posted May 24, 2020 Hi Werner, you are right - when you pull them out to set them manually, they don´t support scroll wheel ops. Thanks for finding this! Cheers, Jan Quote
frankbyte Posted May 24, 2020 Report Posted May 24, 2020 (edited) But how on earth guys could that happen? It's like if you would mix up both pedals in a car...i just dont understand how it could happen without you noticing it. It's the first time ever i see the mouse-scroll the opposite direction. Otherwise thanks for the update! Edit: sorry, just saw the post above from tkyler explaining it Edited May 24, 2020 by frankbyte Quote
Super27 Posted May 24, 2020 Report Posted May 24, 2020 Hi, Found one more item. The V/S wheel on the MCP does not have a mouse scroll wheel function either. Thanks for looking into it! Werner 1 Quote
mga010 Posted May 24, 2020 Report Posted May 24, 2020 (edited) I strongly suggest reversing the mouse wheel! It is not a matter of discussion or preference. Every other Windows UI uses it the other way around. Please, reconsider. Changing 200 places is not that bad. I did that a lot of time in my programs for even minor errors. mga010 Posted May 24, 2020 Report Posted May 24, 2020 Another topic: Is it possible to switch to the new COM spacing? I cannot tune 123.080, e.g., for ATIS. And I can hear nothing on 123.07. Quote
Litjan Posted May 24, 2020 Report Posted May 24, 2020 Hi mga010, Answer is YES, on both posts! Cheers, Jan Quote
tkyler Posted May 26, 2020 Report Posted May 26, 2020 (edited) scroll wheel direction has already been reversed on all the relevant manips for the next update. (and VS wheel also) -tkyler Edited May 26, 2020 by tkyler 3 1 Quote
