FlyAgi Posted May 18, 2020 Report Posted May 18, 2020 That's funny... for me the default clouds are much faster with vulkan, the high gpu load issues I always had with these clouds when close to a cloud layer is gone almost completely. Also I had no performance issues with SMP 4.9.3 so far, aside from a micro stutter issue when increasing cloud coverage radius. Quote

The issue is back, after latest SMP version I tried with XP 11 beta 10 and beta 11 ( today released the beta 11 ) Thank you Quote

So whatever you're seeing, I think it's something else. A screenshot and your log.txt would be helpful. Quote
xZone Posted June 18, 2020 Report Posted June 18, 2020 Okay, I'll upload later some screenshots Thank you Quote

The only thing I notice is the high contrast sky colors. Try our procedurally drawn sky, it should blend better.... Quote
JohnMAXX Posted June 18, 2020 Report Posted June 18, 2020 Oh another thought, try exploring our cloud art maybe when you updated it reverted back to our low Rez clouds.... Quote
xZone Posted June 18, 2020 Report Posted June 18, 2020 Thanks, I'll keep trying, and I'll report back to you Quote
xZone Posted June 19, 2020 Report Posted June 19, 2020 The issue is back, JohnMAXX Is way less than 2 months ago, but it's there I tried everything possible. Maybe the latest Vulcan ( 10 and 11 ) are the culprit I don't blame your product. Don't really know how to fix it Quote

The original issue was that certain third party aircraft (such as the "Zibo mod") change X-Plane's blending mode and don't change it back, and this caused problems with our clouds when using Vulkan and HDR. I just tested that combination here in 11.50b11 and it looks fine. If there's an issue, I don't understand what it is. 1 Quote
xZone Posted June 19, 2020 Report Posted June 19, 2020 I tried with 3 different cloud types at the same time : 1 x few cumulus, 1 x scattered and 1 broken cumulus Quote

Are you running any type of post processing effect? Is there something I’m not seeing in a picture? Would a video give more insight? Quote
