SchwabeVR Posted November 10, 2018 Report Posted November 10, 2018 Hello, I bought the TMB 900. I use it in VR with the Samsung Odyssey. the funny thing is, I have no sound point neither the engine when it is running nor anything else from the machine I also do not hear the voice of the computer. does anyone else have the same problem? I use the current beta 3 of x plane. Thank you for your help Greetings Sebastian Quote
Goran_M Posted November 10, 2018 Report Posted November 10, 2018 Just a couple of points. 1. Can you please post your log.txt. 2. The TBM is not supported in any beta version of X-Plane. It's strictly a "Fly it in the beta at your own risk." But, again, post your log and we can take a look. Quote
SchwabeVR Posted November 10, 2018 Author Report Posted November 10, 2018 Thanks for your answer. Here the Log file. Log.txt Quote
Goran_M Posted November 10, 2018 Report Posted November 10, 2018 Just a couple of things. Can you post a screenshot of your sound settings? And also, do you get this problem with any other aircraft? Would prefer you to check any 3rd party add on. The TBM doesn't use anything special with regards to sound, so the problem is very odd. Quote
SchwabeVR Posted November 11, 2018 Author Report Posted November 11, 2018 the problem exists only with the TMB 900 otherwise with no airplane. sorry the settings are with me in German. Quote
Goran_M Posted November 11, 2018 Report Posted November 11, 2018 Can you post a screenshot of your Windows sound settings? Specifically, the window that tells us where the sound is coming from (hardware) Quote
sanjiv Posted November 12, 2018 Report Posted November 12, 2018 I had this issue as well and it was on 11.26r2. I flew the aircraft in VR with no problems at all. Now, when I wanted to fly non-VR, there was no sound specifically on this aircraft (worked fine on all other aircraft). On investigation, realised that audio was being sent to VR headset even in non-VR mode. What was surprising is that sound was coming to normal headset for all other aircraft. Window sound output device (including application specific) was set to normal headset. Not sure if this would help, but you may try physically removing other audio device, if any. Quote
Goran_M Posted November 12, 2018 Report Posted November 12, 2018 Please get back to me @SchwabeVR if the above post is what is happening to you as well. Quote
Matranga Posted November 21, 2018 Report Posted November 21, 2018 I have the same issue no sound whatsoever on the TBM900 Hot Start. All other aircraft have sound. Left message at X Aviation three weeks ago but haven’t heard back from them. I don’t use The TBM in VR mode. Is there a place to set VR or normal flight in X plane? We need X Aviation to step up on this issue. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Quote
cpuwolf Posted November 21, 2018 Report Posted November 21, 2018 even if I am with 11.30b5, I have sound Quote

Alternatively, install the TBM in a clean install of X-Plane. Then replace the plugins one at a time to see which one is causing the issue. There's nothing complex about the sounds, and it's almost definite that something else is conflicting with it. Quote

You did receive a response, and then this week you sent in a new support ticket which you also received a response to. I think you need to look in your spam box. Quote
Matranga Posted November 23, 2018 Report Posted November 23, 2018 Your response was in my spam folder. You did respond in a timely manner. Sorry next time I will look in spam Thanks Quote
Matranga Posted November 23, 2018 Report Posted November 23, 2018 Thanks Goran I will give it a try. Quote
Matranga Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 No sound after removing all plugins. The only thing Left is start over with a complete reload of X Plane and all the third party aircraft. I lot of work just to get the TBM to have sound. Quote
Goran_M Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 Are you saying that you have sound now? Quote
Ben Russell Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 You can install a second copy of xplane using the xp demo installer. Quote
Matranga Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 Complete new X Plane download and a new 1.1.1 TBM downloaded with no other aircraft other then the default. No sound whatsoever. This is a real mystery. All default aircraft have sound. It’s got to be something with windows 10 and the TBM. This is not fun. any ideas Quote
Goran_M Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 Did this have no effect? http://forums.x-pilot.com/forums/topic/15201-no-sound/?do=findComment&comment=133983 Quote
Matranga Posted November 29, 2018 Report Posted November 29, 2018 Goran I have sound on the TBM. It was a setting in windows 10. The output was not set to my Lodgitech speakers. The other aircraft I have must not need the setting set to have sound. Now to load all my plugins. Thanks for your input and help Bob 2 Quote
