mpedroni Posted December 19, 2016 Report Posted December 19, 2016 I hope that with this update will not require a new activation, could no longer fly without Skymaxx, and I still do not know how many activations of the three available.
birdy.dma Posted December 19, 2016 Report Posted December 19, 2016 Funny No activation requested for the 4.01! But i have an activation request for my IXEG and my SAAB, and they are out of activations since the install of the V4. Of course, X-Aviation contacted.
jolmos Posted December 21, 2016 Report Posted December 21, 2016 I am a SkyMaxx Pro 3 user. I have not received any e-mail inviting me to purchase version 4 with a 50% discount, as if it were received by other users. I posted it on X-Aviation, with no response. What is the reason for my apparent exclusion?

Well, with the reply time of 3 days, and you sending 3 e-mails in 2 days, that's not helping you. 2 hours ago, jolmos said: What is the reason for my apparent exclusion? You were not excluded. The system shows it was successfully delivered to you. Take a look in your Gmail Promotional tab inbox, or even spam. Do a search for e-mails from X-Aviation

jolmos Posted December 22, 2016 Report Posted December 22, 2016 Dear "Cameron", I can not help expressing the following, since I feel mocked, to say it in the most prudent way possible. Seven months have not yet come to that purchase and I am surprised with an update, which discontinues the product purchased. What use perspective can I have regarding the new version? Must be the only product I know has played a surprising attitude and hurt my condition of buyer and user in good faith. X-Aviation / SkyMaxx never warned that the product could be discontinued at any time. What time guarantee does X-Aviation offer? In this way, as a user, X-Aviation and / or SkyMaxx is unprotected and subject to the exclusive use of the product. It is added that the offer to users of version 3 with a discount of 50% has a term of 30 days. In other words, "spend it again immediately or ..." It escapes to all imagination the little respect towards the community of users and eventual buyers. Really, surprising and unfortunate. I ask you to change that attitude, because your behavior is a serious mistake.

It doesn't discontinue anything. You can use Version 3 for the rest of your life if you want. 4 hours ago, jolmos said: Must be the only product I know has played a surprising attitude and hurt my condition of buyer and user in good faith. I don't know what this means? X-Plane 10 to 11 is not free. iPhone 6 to iPhone 7 is not free. Photoshop is not free. MOST software major version upgrades are not free. 4 hours ago, jolmos said: X-Aviation / SkyMaxx never warned that the product could be discontinued at any time. Nothing has been discontinued. Your license will continue to work. 4 hours ago, jolmos said: In this way, as a user, X-Aviation and / or SkyMaxx is unprotected and subject to the exclusive use of the product. Your choice! 4 hours ago, jolmos said: It escapes to all imagination the little respect towards the community of users and eventual buyers. Most customers are thankful we offer an upgrade discount. I'm sorry if this upsets you. 4 hours ago, jolmos said: I ask you to change that attitude, because your behavior is a serious mistake. Nothing will change. We've done this every version. We need revenue to make sure we are here for you long in the future. 1
jolmos Posted December 23, 2016 Report Posted December 23, 2016 Dear Cameron. Both positions are clear. I do not wish in any way to extend a dialogue, which could eventually distort my position of origin: to know reasonably what is the provision of free upgrade of the product purchased. Your product, in my opinion, is an excellent development, otherwise it would not make sense to express what has already been said. Either way, the market will quietly give its unappealable opinion. For my part, I sincerely wish that such a response does not favor me, because I prioritize the realization of ventures like yours.
JeffLeh Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 Hey John, I have attached a log file for a crash that occurred in SMP4 running XP11. Let me know if it will help. Skymaxx4 Log.txt
JeffLeh Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 Went to restart XP11 and it crashed on start-up showing SMP4 was the issue. Skymaxx Log 2.txt
JeffLeh Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 I had to remove Skymaxx4 because XP11 will not boot up now without crashing due to SMP4 Skymaxx Log 3.txt
JeffLeh Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 John, I reloaded RWC and Skymaxx 4 and now when I try to switch RWC to "Always", I immediately get a crash. Happened 4 x's in a row. This is a new issue that I never had before. Any suggestions?
Jose Almeida Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 This is a metar parsing issue that has been reported in another thread.
JeffLeh Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 Ok I understand but I never had this issue before and now I cannot even set my RWC settings to "Always" which I like because I use NOAA. Any work-arounds with this?
Jose Almeida Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 I guess you'll just have to wait, like the rest of us.
sundog Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 If you fly again now, things should be OK. There was one hour of METAR data from NOAA that seems to have contained some sort of invalid data that caused RWC to crash. But it's since been removed it seems. I'm looking into why it caused a crash so we can prevent that from happening again.
JeffLeh Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 Ok great. Any idea about why I am crashing when I switch RWC from X plane data to "Always"? That issue still seems to be happening. I have a Log file of the crash when I am clicking to "Always" RWC crash trying to set to always Log.txt
sundog Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 Try quitting X-Plane, delete your MAXX_METAR.rwx file, and restart it. 1
