Thanks for elaborating on the cabin rendering Goran. They don't call it the jumbo for nothing! Wow, the panel is given extra dimension and looks great even with that quickndirty colour scheme from Jason. One idea for later I've just had- I think this version might have had an 'SP' version? If so, a few of us would kill to see that cute, stumpy bird in our skies! Just something to think of later, not now!

Haiti/Dominican Republic Earthquake
Simmo W replied to Rafael Fernandez's topic in General Discussion
take care Rafael, no need for apologies for such a terrible disaster. -
Ha, so my 3 and a bit line encouragement message was considered chin dragging by some. Oh well, I don't care, the more of us that get worked up over this forums' creations, the better, coz we need these creations for our enjoyment and to encourage other devs to progress. Goran, a pity re. no complete cabin, but if that maximizes fps and still means we have 123 or so gauges (I think that's the correct spelling) to enjoy, that'll be great. Will the gauges all be bk-117 quality? If so, we won't need scenery! Oh, I saw your pmdg comment, they use poor quality interiors to keep their fps from getting below 10 fps slideshow anyone?

Ha, that' s funny, count me in if the $1 pc is an IBM xt to keep it authentic for the times! Your project sounds so nice and true to history, can't wait. Make sure you use nasty 1970s decore too!
-
Yes, looks very promising! Love the pans around the control towers and use of high zoom. Simon
-
Yep, but only in the sound recording, so ur plane is not damaged (just drool all over the controls) What with birds, deer and flocks of balloons, it makes u wonder how you ever fly safely! Maybe in XPlaneX Austin will introduce locusts to make it even more challenging..Thanks for watching my vids Javier, Simon.

I really feel that javier's recently updated planes (javelin and seamax) look amazing at night, early indications of how good the crj will be. So it's fitting that jr sent us all his Christmas present, complete with wonderful night textures. I will never forget this first flight. Simon W

Salamanca Matacan for X-plane 9.41 ready for download
Simmo W replied to Japo32's topic in Scenery Development
Ha, something u whipped up on hols! incredible, and when I saw your night textures...wow! -
I agree, it's more of a balance, ESP for heinz's prices, they're pretty good value. I was the one who posted the tour and engine failure video of his new caravelle that's now on his homepage, I found that craft a hoot, ESP the great rattles on t/o and landing. Ok the vc is not cutting edge, but the handling has a real character to it. I think Heinz should keep to this era and before though, that's his niche. In the long run the ones who like the tubeliners also want hifidelity systems and rendering. Then again you guys do amazing planes for great value too. I just got javier's javelin upgraded to v1.3 and instantly posted this vid on YT to pay homage to it! The English livery is incredible! Love the dirty intakes! Simon

Now I'm really drooling! So, when r u doing Sydney, Australia?
-
Sounds promising Javier. Thanks for showing us all your settings! So, it looks like antialiasing doesn't need to be maxed, is it a law of diminishing return? same with anisiotototopriocic? Hehe . Gloworm gave me a great tip NOT to compress textures, textures are amazing without compressing. That's the best tip ever. Your vids are incredible considering. Thanks to your tips, Heinz has used one of my caravelle vids on his site..

Ha, don't get me started! Yes, the mu 2 is brill, handles and views so well. Javelin and seamax are unique in the world of drab dross and support the creator of the crj. Free xpfr planes can keep u busy while waiting. I'm a xp whore, i'm anybody's, so I've even bought heinz's caravelle, the sounds of that are great. Simon

Give me ideas! I have officially ran out!
Simmo W replied to liv4deth95's topic in Plugin Development
Great idea, more ideas! What about a really decent incidental sounds plugin ( I've seen one, but not that great), for in flight chatter, rustling of charts, passenger sounds, trolley clinking, flight attendants bitching, even ground crew comms? Even a basic crew compartment air ventilation sond might add to that feeling of claustrophobia -
Wow, that fuselage looks more detailed than the a380, you're doing well ! Hehe. I think that one Nacelle is prettier than any of that 380.
-
Yes, thanks for posting, saved me doing it too! Great to see xp getting a higher profile. I laughed at mark's salivating remarks re. Crj. congrats on the aircraft dev page skipping over to 2 pages! An ominous sign for others. The sooner more screenshots of everyones' planes co e out, the sooner interest will gain. Merry christmas and a happy new xplane year to all!
-
Yes, I was excited to see it available but once I saw the price - gawd... I'll wait until some videos prove that it's worth 3 times the a340, but by then the crj200 will be out - now That might be worth that price!
-
And merry Christmas to all! I saw peters message here this morning, it's out today! Hmmm, spending hours with relatives I hardly see during the yr or trying this out? Bad luck 4 me! http://petersuv.vs120062.hl-users.com/

Looks great guys, I'd love to post some video of the crj 200 over thist night scenery! Tell me, will the textures for your other packs be improved too? I did not find the demos that amazing, but am hoping norcal will convince me to buy! Good luck, Simon

Hi Javier, I'm enjoying your planes and thanks for your comments on my id5556 videos on Youtube. Editing to within 4 mins is a real challenge, but the results speak for themselves - much more engrossing vids! Anyway, you've told me that V1.2 for Seamax and 1.3 for Javvy are available, but I can't get any updates from X aviation (awaiting a reply for the Seamax, and they said more work was still being done on the Javvy. Are you able to help, if only to get rid of the black boxes from the GPS as you noticed! DO NOT RUSH ON YOUR SUPERB CRJ, get it right and make it the envy of the entire flight sim world. But then again, don't delay either! Make it easier on us all by posting regular teaser vids, as you are, but pleeeze, one a week? Maybe smaller vids, concentrating on on little thing - like that snazzy sliding visor, which I'll end up sliding left and right for minutes! Well done and keep going, we're all looking forward to yours and Anton's work. Simon
-
Well done goran, this classic looks great, all u developers are going to tempt me too much! Can u tell me how the engineers panel will be handled, surely one simmer can't do the job of 2-3 people, or will we be able to share the workload online?
-
Cool thanks nicola, can u recommend any of the sceneries, say top 5? Will enjoy browsing these later! Also, I've seen an interesting Italian site - http://www.ilmioatelier.com/I%20miei%20X-PlanesEN.html. - are these good? They look interesting historically at least. Add this to the thread guys, if u think it looks interesting too (eurofighter, aermacchi) Ta, Simon

Ha, loved the stylish boot- off of mtb! Hope never to be on the wrong end of ur posts . Thankyou and yes, I have RTFM. Another emerging link is: http://www.flightsimulatornetwork.com/group/xplane I've made quite a few posts to spread the word in a heavily fsx dominated site, but the moderators are quite into xplane, so join me in sowing the seeds of growth in xp and addons. As soon as I see any meaty news/ vids for xp I post it there. Love this forum. Simon W

Good news about the update, yes upgraded night lighting would be wonderful. I am one who is spreading the word via Vids on YouTube under 'id5556', the mu-2 looks great in phillip island, Aussie!

Oh, since I mentioned Mr Rollon, here is my vid of 9 Javelins. If you only watch a bit of this, try from 6.00, the best bit I reckon.

A first video of this fantastic plane, showing off the interior and flaps x-aviation has the best planes, particularly Mr Rollon
