Company route in the FMC
ONDR4.cz replied to Tim013's topic in 737-300 Aircraft Systems and Operation
See page 12 in the 2-Interface Guide.pdf manual ;-). -
@Morten You still might want to keep the painted placards in the paintkit, though (maybe hide them by default). In rare cases like mine (see the 2nd picture) the decals get in the way of some elements on the livery and there is no way to move them around so the only option is to cut them away from the B733_glass_decals.png (unlike the painted ones where I can simply do "Layer Via Cut" and reposition them as needed). I lose a bit of fidelity as a trade-off but it still looks way better than having 4 decals covering the logo.

Oh boy, I'm giving up. I painted the exact shape of the left window but it still doesn't cover the whole window on the ride side. The problem is that if I make it any bigger it will start showing on the left side.
-
Yeah, I figured that if you take the INLET layer and move it 0.35 cm to the right it's spot on. And it is the 2nd window on the left side that's causing the problem. Cutting it pixel by pixel is real a pain so hopefully they'll fix it one day.
-
That's weird because the more % I had the dimmer they were.
-
Thank you for the advice Fabio, much appreciated. I'll try it tomorrow and will post an update on how it went.
-
I see you're using RTH, set cockpit gamma to 0 % in the lights setting, that should solve it.

The first plugged window on the right side seems to take color from somewhere else down the fuselage. When I remove the logo on the left(!) side, the windows turns blue. I've noticed this on the official liveries, as well. The second problem is the engine cowling, there is a white gap between the nacelle ring and the cowling (official liveries don't have this problem but all user created ones I've seen do). There are also a few things I can't figure out. First, is it possible to (re)move the warning stickers on the engine cowling? In the paintkit that was no problem but there is another layer of them that isn't part of the paintkit so I ended up having them twice. I need to remove some of them and move them down a bit so that they don't get in a way of the logo (it's like that on the real aircraft as well). Lastly, can you point me to where the turbulators(?) near the fin are located in the paintkit? I need them painted blue. Thank you.

Well, how do I put the aircraft registration on top of the right wing and the bottom of the left wing then?

At 3:00 the altitude is decreasing while the vertical speed shows +100 fpm, how so?

I was rewatching the IXEG's very first video on youtube and this comment made me chuckle: "This is going to be crazy! What graphics card would you recomment? 512MB" Just shows how long we've been waiting . I myself remember being very disappointed when they announced that it wouldn't be available for XPL 9. Funny, nobody uses it anymore now. And BTW IXEG, it's my birthday next week so I expect something really nice from you guys, you know that I only have one wish .

The current issue we face and a possible solution?
ONDR4.cz replied to AnonymousUser68's topic in SkyMaxx Pro v4
Well written, I noticed that too. But rather than having two sliders, I'm sure a better solution would be to program it in a way that your max. cloud draw distance is always your maximum, but the actual cloud draw distance is based on the relative height between the plane and the clouds (or something like that). -
@vitolo: Yes! But seeing your location it was not much of a challenge for you I guess .
-
@danhenri No, not that one, but good try, you are VERY close.

Thanks for the clarification Frank, I too seem to be "lucky" to have such boundaries in my area. I don't know about "pretty far apart" though. I flew in a straight line on HDG approx. 230 and according to the log "Coordinate system changed; recreating weather." appeared twice within 2 minutes (which I witnessed in-flight as well). Are the grid cells the same size as the ortophoto sceneries for example? Which are 1x1 degree tiles I think.

@LPNils: "human lvl 8" LOL In 1998 I was only lvl 6 but I remember it like it was yesterday since it was also my first encounter with the B733, Air Europa EC-FKJ from LKTB to LEPA, delayed midnight flight, too cold in the terminal. It was a substitute plane (of different airline) since the original one had some technical issues that night. I was kind of scared because of that plus I remembered the words of my great grandma who was too worried that the plane would fall down... That didn't happen luckily and it got me hooked up to aviation for life. In 2003 I got my first digital camera and this is the first picture of a plane I took with it, can anyone guess the airport?

I'm sure Jan will give you a fully qualified answer, but in the meantime, this is what the Flight Crew Training Manual says: "For takeoffs, when conditions permit, consider using larger flap settings to provide shorter takeoff distance. Larger flap settings also provide greater tail clearance."
-
Anyways, is it still the plan to release the tutorial videos in advance and then the plane? I'm asking because Jan said that hopefully you'll be able to release it "within not too many days" but also that the next videos will be the tutorial videos "for the real thing." So does "real thing" imply a finished plane (I suppose he didn't mean the real real thing )? P.S. The wait is unbearable again, last month I was very busy with school so luckily I didn't have time to think about this beauty at all. Now all the assignments are finished and I have like two weeks off, but the hangar is still empty .
-
In 3.1.1 it's pretty much spot on now, thanks Frank!
-
I'll look up cockpit photos at airliners.net and will use what the real airplane uses/used. Which will be mostly digital I guess :).
-
True, especially compared to real life, where clouds are almost blindingly white when flying above them.
-
Thanks for the response, sundog! It's interesting though that the clouds never go totally black in August for example, but they do in April. I also like that you take customer feedback into account, but this change seems like a bit of an overkill . Sometimes it's for the better when developers just stick to their guns and do it the way they think is best, as personally I think 3.0 was pretty much spot on.
