  1. Ah! Maybe this is the reason! You start out with "uniform", whereas I started with "real weather". I will try your way asap!
  2. Hi Brazen, welcome to X-Plane and this forum! In the beginning, for some people is X-Plane a bit confusing, esp. if they come from FSX, but if you never used a desktop flight simulation before, you won't have big problems. May just need some minutes to get the best graphics (rendering) settings for your system; X-Plane CAN be demanding, but everything can be adjusted. And if you are stuck, simply ask. If you flew the Citation II, you may be happy to hear that a Citation II is in the making by LES -- the same guys who just recently published their Saab 340A. If their Citation II is as good as the Saab seems to be, you can continue to fly Citation II on your PC in a very realistic way! (See http://forums.x-pilot.com/forum/138-cessna-citation-ii/ )
  3. The problem is that I can't "set weather uniform for the world" as long as NOAA plugin is active -- it automatically jumps back to the "real weather" tab
  4. Great! Did you write Javier (Japo32) for a permission, too? (Maybe he did not see your post in this thread.)
  5. Yes, that's what I meant: I can download default weather and after that switch to custom weather where I can reducy visibility. I tried what you suggest with the NOAA plugin, but my impression is that after turning it off, the default weather is restored.
  6. I think first you should ask the KLN author Dennis Prüfer for permission (see post #4 of this thread), and maybe also Javier.
  7. That's true, the weather gets very dynamic with it. Only problem is that you can't reduce visibility then, because it requires real weather switched on. So if real weather yields 30 nm visibility, but you would like to reduce it to 20 nm (because of frame rate, maybe), you can't.
  8. Ah, I see. Thanks.
  9. Suddenly a question arose in my mind: Do your clouds work with real weather?
  10. At least some OpenGL stuff is going on, as Ben Supnik pointed out in a comment in August 2013: (comment no. 52 at http://developer.x-plane.com/2013/08/rumors-of-my-death/#comments )
  11. In the Aerosoft forum, the KLN 90B was also reported as working with the Saab's autopilot.
  12. How did you get this surprise?
  13. Thanks, Jim, for the explanation. Now I see better why you had to do it.
  14. Yeah, that's a semantic explanation, but not a technical one. Because in the end, you just get a numerical value from a physical axis, regardless how it is called. What is different in this regard when you get this value in the custom way in contrast to the XP standard way? For example, does the numerical range differ, does your approach deliver more precise results? I want to know what's going on technically
  15. I have an understanding question: Why did you decide against simply using the standard "PROP" axis for the condition levers? What is the advantage of your custom solution?
  16. Edit: Sorry, wrong thread.
  17. No, that's not true. Runways and taxiways are also illuminated without HDR, just as in X-Plane 9. Steering the plane is certainly possible.
  18. Thanks for reporting this! I think many people will be happy about this!
  19. On the other hand, there's already a livery for the LES Saab 340 at the .org download manager
  20. The C185F and the Husky are my favorites.
  21. I think it's not about caring (this would imply knowing about that but saying "yeah, I know, but who cares?"). I think such details (i.e. that the manual used for developing would not apply for certain operators in Europe) did not even come to mind -- so no "who care's intention", but more like not knowing.
  22. Probably on "Weight_on_Wheels Switches" -- the underscores _ look strange.
  23. Hmm... Either the Saab 340A is REALLY FPS heavy compared to older planes (especially on weak systems like yours ... or mine .. *gulp* ...) , or something strange is going on. :-/
  24. Hehe, yeah. What I meant was: Technically. If I understood Jim correctly, the problem is that between sessions the internal IDs of the connected peripherals might change, so for example on one day your joystick has ID 2, on the next day it has ID 5. Probably this happens esp. if you plug off the peripherals inbetween.
  25. Please post a complete screenshot of the rendering settings, because currently it is not possible to see all options and the memory usage.
