  1. And the PRESELECT NAV is VOR/LOC on both sides? I think it might help if I saw a video of some approaches being done that have issues.
  2. VPATH descents are not idle descents on Collins PL 21 avionics. It's following a geometric path defined as by the default descent angle, and what is required to meet any constraints, not whatever path would result in an idle thrust as is usual in commercial airliners. You may need to adjust your expectations. However, it has been acknowledged that the airframe likely needs more drag, but there's no current plan for if/when this'll be implemented.
  3. Because that's how it was original implemented, as an affordance to the the sim. This has been enhanced in V1.8, currently in beta testing phase.
  4. You run the beta installer again (no need to download it every time). It'll remove everything of the previous version (retaining the airframes and state—though no guarantee they'll work without issue), and install the new version in its place. The stable updates are a different procedure.
  5. Potentially up to 15 minutes with slow bitrate data link and long flight plans.
  6. You can refer to Loading a Route Via Datalink in the FMS Primer document provided in the plane’s directory.

  9. I am a volunteer, and the developers are either busy or unavailable. Sorry about that. As far as OnAir goes, I find them relying on the physical position of the cockpit controls of default systems to be rather dubious, to be honest. Firstly, maybe not every aircraft is using the default flap control, and secondly, that doesn't correspond to the actual position of the flaps on the wing, which seems to be what they should actually be caring about. I think a more versatile and reliable solution would be for OnAir to allow the source of these signals to be configurable on a per-addon basis. I believe there are DataRefs in the Challenger that could be used, but copying these back to the X-Plane defaults wouldn't be priority at the moment. I can look at passing the suggestion onto the developer, but to be frank, you'd be better off looking for another way to make this work (custom Lua script, etc.). Thanks.
  10. Ok, I'll add it to my list to try on the beta version. May already be working there.
  11. Do you have a thread about this?
  12. I assume you’re able to continue on with a new airframe?
  13. Ok, you need to keep going with the periodic screenshots from levelling off at 5000 until after the descent is meant to start at 834.
  14. We would need to see the state of the aircraft before reaching the approach. Maybe try again but this time recording a screen capture on video? Thanks.
  15. From the Hot Start Discord server.
  16. Only for limited items, as available in the Challenger 650 menu.
  17. Yes, fortunately it seems to respond to the enable/disable requests from the sim properly. Just would be nice to be able to do it programmatically and temporarily, only while in walk around mode.
  18. Welcome to the show. Check the Challenger 650 menu in the top menu bar, and look for the APU battery connection item.
  19. You have to make sure it's in the PRESET NAV before pressing the source switch (exchange) button.
  20. Probably the former is more "intuitive" and it also maintains the flight plan history, but whatever works for you, basically.
  21. Press the (LWR) MENU button.
  22. This sounds like it is an issue using the beta. Wait for the next one or downgrade.
  23. That is almost certainly a red herring.
  24. Can you provide a copy of Log.txt, and screenshots of user settings (redacted is ok) plus of the cockpit displays after pressing the right-hand side's CHART button? Even better a video of what you're doing.
  25. You will need to upgrade AMD driver to the one released 5 days ago.
