  1. First off, thanks for the comments. To address your issues That nosewheel thing is confusing me a bit. I have not had that issue at all in the last 3 days of looking. And I've moved the aircraft to many different runways, both dirt and concrete. I'll get feedback off some other people and take it from there. If it's only 2 people with this issue, then I have to say it's probably a setting on the users PC. Your other points: I'll have a look at the windscreen. It was actually modelled against a 3 view drawing of the Duchess supplied by Beechcraft but it's possible that when they made the actual aircraft, the windscreen was made slightly different to the drawing. The wings: Again, I modelled the original shape of the wings against a 3 view with some adjustments made from photos I took at Bankstown Airport. I also modeled the side profile of the wing against a cross section of the actual airfoil diagram. I'll go through the photos again and check the wings to see the shape and if needed, I'll make a further adjustment. Engine Nacelles: The engine nacelles appear to look accurate. Here's a comparison Again, I'll look it over and see if anything needs to be done.
  2. No Problem, Ola. Hope you're having fun with it. If you have any other questions, please let me know. BTW, very nice landing in the video.
  3. Was your mixture correctly set for your altitude? Have you modified the acf file in any way? If you were descending, were the engines at idle for a while before the engines died? Did you have enough fuel? I'm guessing you answered "yes" to question 3 and your warnings were switched off in the x plane settings. You most likely got Carb icing and the engines eventually died. Carb heat is on the centre console under the throttle and above the cowl flaps. As you are descending and if your engines die, turn on carb heat, leave ignition on (DO NOT CRANK THE ENGINE AGAIN) and make sure all levers on the throttle console are full forward. The constant speed prop will crank the engine and eventually start. Alternatively, check your emergency procedures in the manual.
  4. Theo's getting a paint kit done that should be ready soon. Hopefully before the end of the week.
  5. Congratulations Ben. You have just made sure everyone knows that you are a criminal. Well done!
  6. I'll check it out. If it does the same thing to me, I'll have it fixed. It's not a big thing.
  7. Mueli, that MIGHT be an x plane thing. Set your runways to always be flat. Not to follow the terrain. See if that helps. Goran
  8. Beacon Switch has been added, tested and is working. Duchess customers should get an email from Cameron soon with the relevant updates. Back to work on the Sundowner update.
  9. ASI bug is fixed. Just got the Beacon light switch left to do.
  10. I'll have a look and see what I can do with it.
  11. No money? Bummer. How about you come over to my house and mow my lawn, feed my dog, pick up my dogs shit, take out my garbage, vacuum my house and wash my car. If you do all that, I'll buy you Peter Hagers A380. I think that's a GREAT deal.
  12. Sure Ben. Here you go...
  13. Isn't that how they did ILS approaches in the 1940's?
  14. thanks a lot! Update already with the Beacon light switch? (that's not so important, actually). Beacon light switch is easy. Haven't done it yet. But it will literally take 10 minutes to model, texture, keyframe, animate and export. Cameron should have the relevant files up fairly soon.
  15. Red tools are for something I plan on adding later. I was wondering when someone was going to ask me about them.
  16. Go to your Render Settings under the settings menu in the sim. About 2/3 the way down on the left, there is an option for FOV (Field of View). Larger numbers increase the field of view (more of the cockpit is visible) while a lower FOV does the opposite making it look like you are closer to the panel. I always use an FOV of 65 and modelled the panel around that figure making the HSI and VOR knobs accessible. Alternately, if you want to zoom in or move forward to read the Barometer setting (I'm assuming that's the gauge you are having trouble seeing), go to VC mode (CTRL+O) and either use the + or - keys to zoom in and out or PAGE UP/PAGE DOWN keys to move forward and back in the cockpit.
  17. Sent you an email, Simon.
  18. Heading Bug bug (lol?) has been fixed. I've contacted Cameron and a new file will be available very soon. Hopefully in the next few hours.
  19. HA! That's exactly why I locked it at 200. I gave it that 6 kt buffer. BTW, as Jacoba said, the only way you can get that kind of speed in the sim is if you were in a steep dive (minus the hurricane...LOL)
  20. Replacing the GPS with the Reality XP one will be a big hack job. The GPS in the Sudowner atm is a 3D mesh with a mapped GPS screen. To get full functionality out of a reality x p version, you would need to add panel regions and reload them. Not a small job.
  21. Very unusual. I looked through the animations in the obj file and it all looks fine. I'll do a few experiments with different keyframes and values and see what happens when I test it. Re: the Beacon light. I'll check on that as well sometime today. I thought I added it. If not, it's a 5 minute job to add it. Just woke up and need my caffeine.
  22. May I ask why you are flying the Duchess at 200 kts? It's not really a bug. I programmed the gauge to stop at 200kts. With the ASI dataref, the needle needs somewhere else to go if the airspeed continues to climb. Since I locked it at 200kts, it starts reversing. Easily fixed but I just never thought people would take it that fast.
  23. Are you flying in a crosswind that is coming from the right?
  24. At this time, the doors do not open. It was a choice I made to keep the exterior as smooth as possible. Cutting a door out would have made quite a few mesh problems as it is a high polygon exterior mesh.
  25. FIXED. apologies
