Forward that one to Laminar. It looks like X-Plane had a heart attack in the backtrace.
-
It's ironic that a few of you are wanting it back. I was getting quite a few DM's on Facebook, and I think a few here, also, asking for it to be lessened or removed. That it was too hard to land and take off. I'll discuss with Saso and ask him if it can be made as an option or just to bring it back as before.

Looks like this is the culprit. Getting crashes with the TBM, but not default aircraft.
-
Can you post your complete log file?

This is definitely something unique to your system. Try deleting the contents of your "state" folder, (Output/TBM900/state) and reload. Post back if this fixes the problem.

I'll try it and see what it does.

Can I get a invite for the hot start discord

Did you check the maintenance manager for any repairs needed to the static system? Did you leave a cover/covers on the 2 backup static vents on the rear of the aircraft? The TBM900_log.txt file will reveal all. But before posting that, make sure all covers are removed and any repairs needed are carried out.

We're seeing a lot of CTD's with the skunkcrafts updater being run with the TBM. We don't know why. That'd be my first pick. I see you also have WorldTraffic installed. Traffic plugins are known to cause problems with the TBM. We're working with Laminar on this.
-
Exception Handler error. You have AI traffic enabled.
-
I don't have the hardware you're describing, so to make this clear for me, what you're saying is, you can't clear that axis from inside the sim??
-
Sorry to debunk your 99.9% certainty , but it can very easily be due to other plugins. Let me explain how. First of all, we don't have the time, or the resources, to test the TBM against every single plugin available in the flight sim community. To even suggest we do so, would be ludicrous. What we DO know, is the TBM will work, without crashing, in a clean install of X-Plane. The exception to this is the verified issues with the latest AMD drivers on AMD powered GPU's. We can attempt to work around another developers plugins, but in most cases, they must be willing to work with us but they simply point the finger of blame at us, instead of trying to figure out the problem. The exception...Just Flight worked with us, with their new traffic add on. To clarify, they reached out to me personally, and asked for a copy of the TBM to test their new traffic plugin against, and it works without the TBM crashing. So, for example, using common sense in the following case, having a 3rd party weather radar plugin used in conjunction with the TBM (which has its own weather radar) could very easily cause a crash. Using faulty terrain in a 3rd party scenery with the TBM, can, and most likely will, very easily cause a crash, due to the TBM having quite a complex terrain radar. If it reads a scenery tile that doesn't make sense...CTD. This isn't the TBM's fault. The scenery needs to be done correctly for the terrain radar to be able to read it. Using AI Traffic with the TCAS implemented in the TBM WILL cause an exception handler crash. Which is definitely NOT due to the TBM, since the TBM doesn't use exception handlers, and this issue has been discussed, at length, with Laminar, to try to figure out what they need to change in their AI code. To close off, whenever there is a crash, we always ask for a log file. And in most, if not all, cases, when we suggest removing a plugin or to change the location of the aircraft (due to corrupted scenery tiles at the previously selected airport) the crashes do stop.

Introducing fuel in the TBM DOES use the mixture dataref, so the workaround would be to get rid of the mixture control on the hardware. That way, it does it automatically through the VC.
-
I see Ground Traffic (which is probably outdated for this version of X-Plane 11). Is it possible to disable the ground traffic at all? If so, try disabling it. If not, can you try at a different airport, with the same parameters, and see if you can reproduce the problem?

1. The aim of making a highly complex aircraft to begin with, was to allow people to get fully immersed in the experience of flying a TBM 900 by the numbers and by following real world ops. Once you go through an engine start a few times, it'll take you about a minute to get going from cold and dark. 2. The fires that occur are not the fault of the TBM. Scenery isn't perfect, and if a scenery tile is corrupted (which happens a lot in X-Plane), the TBM will drop onto the apron or runway. Because of the realism of the landings, and the possibility of damaging the landing gear, there is no way to avoid damage when the aircraft gets dropped due to faulty scenery. 3. There is a fully functioning Maintenance Manager which does this for you, but it has a lot more detail. Like how much repairs are (taken from real world ops) and what needs to be repaired. I've come across a small handful of people who want a quick start option, but after they take the time to learn (over the course of about 10 minutes) how to start the engines, it very quickly becomes second nature. As Ben said, the vast majority of our customers have said that all they fly now is the TBM. And this is due to the detail we've managed to cram into it. Have some patience, go through the procedures (it's a GA...how hard can it be??) and you'll get the hang of it in no time.

Pathetic? P.O.S.?? Beginners nightmare??? Did you even read the first paragraph of the product page?? The X-Aviation Take Command! brand of products represents the very best of flight simulation immersion, and assures you this Hot Start product is one of the most sophisticated, study sim level aircraft available for X-Plane! Real world pilots test and assist in the development of these products, and real world procedures are followed. It tells you these products are unlike any other product you've seen outside of the ever growing X-Aviation catalog! We're always available to help people get going in any of our products, should they have any difficulties at all. No question is a stupid question. All you had to do was ask, and you would have had access to us, the developers, and also the wider TBM community, to help you get going. Many of our customers are more than willing to help. This being your first post in these forums is one hell of an introduction. Despite all this, we are more than willing to help, should you need it, however, may I suggest that you read the product description the next time you make a purchase. I ALWAYS encourage making informed decisions when it comes to purchases of anything.

The TBM is unique in how it uses 3 monitors. I think some people got it working, but I would have dig through the forums. I see you're in the discord now anyway, so I'm sure you'll get a response from someone who has it going.
-
Are you running some kind of multi monitor set up, with X-Plane configured to run on all available monitors?
-
Hoping the CL650 will fill the Embraer gap for you. It's basically an airliner in a similar category as the Embraer, squeezed into a bizjet.
-
From memory, this is accurate. Pressurizing the brakes after the park brake is applied, I THINK, is possible. But I'll have to check.
-
It probably won't work, but you're more than welcome to try. This is the dataref for the manipulator. Assign it to your axis and give it a shot. tbm900/switches/gear/park_brake

You assume correctly. Not much point now, anyway...considering there's another one about to be released. But you never know, maybe something in the future may happen.
