Move away from MACs. Linux or Windows systems pack way more bang for your buck. $800 is a good starting point. Look for something with an i5/i7 and an nvidia GTX550-560. At least 8GB of ram is recommended. An SSD would be nice also. -NR
  3. The instruments in the DC-3 in your photo have been replaced with modern ones. In fact, it appears that the entire panel has been replaced. -NR
  4. Looks like either the F33A or V35 from Carenado.
  5. Tour of the south. Round trip is 2256nm. Total 15hrs flight time @ 150KTGS KDKX KAVL KCAE KCRE KFFA KRDU KPSK KLOZ KJWN KPAH KAWM KGLH KMOB KDTS KMGM KBHM KPDK KCHA KCSV KDKX
  6. Turn HDR Rendering on. It will cost you 10-20 FPS but the effects are amazing. -NR
  7. Thanks for clarifying my statement steven. All DC-3s have rear doors. -NR
  8. Thanks! I was about to start making one myself. You saved me the trouble! -NR
  9. Yes, true but most DC-3s have rear doors for boarding without air stairs.-NR
  10. I figured there had to be a reason behind it. Although I have never seen a DC-3 prop hub like it before. Happy Hauling! -NR
  11. This is an extremely minor gripe, ignore it if you want. I just found the difference interesting. Here is the real thing: And your model: The hub is slightly different. This is NOT a problem that you need to fix, but it is something to take a look at. -NR
  12. Ah I see. I figured one could get it to work by holding the lever position (in the model) when your physical levers passed over that detent in the virtual throttle quadrant.
  13. Couldn't we just use our mixture levers? If you have them that is. If you don't, go get a CH quadrant. Money well spent.-NR
  14. LES Douglas DC-3 in South Carolina. Waiting for a good US based commercial livery of some sort (hint, hint). These are raw unedited images, so they are very large.
  15. Thanks! Which works fine, as you said. But isn't the way the real one works.
  16. The main reason that there were no EGT gauges was because you didn't have to lean it. It had "Auto Rich" and "Auto Lean" settings that you pulled the mixture levers to. There was no need to lean them manually. It would be nice if you included this feature. -NR
  17. You can always try austin@x-plane.com but there are no gaurantees.
  18. The title pretty much says it all. I found the problem though, there are no sounds named "LES_Douglas DC-3(Floats)" in the sounds folder. So all you have to do is fix it -NR
  19. Mind telling us where that screenshot was taken Oliver? Wonderful scenery. -NR
  20. Very nice! Congrats on this amazing aircraft model. Thank you so much for your dedication and determination. The outcome will be worth it. Cheers! -NR
