  1. -6 Celsius/Dewpoint -08, light snow/mist, viz - 1.25 miles, scattered 900, overcast 1500, wind 130@05 at KBZN (Bozeman, MT) right now
  2. E, try lightly or quickly tapping the keys when you are trimming the plane. The longer you leave your finger on the key, the more adjustment you get. It doesn't take much to trim the MU-2, but it takes some finesse. To set your hardware to reverse the engines, go to the keyboard and equipment settings and the advanced menu. Go to the engine controls and you can assign either a key stroke or joystick button to reverse the engines. If you have the Saitek throttle quadrants, the reverse detent acts as a button and you can assign it to reverse the engines. I hope I explained that clearly enough.
  3. The backing singer and the band sounded great! But Meat? Dude, he loafed for sure!
  4. That was painful......wow! He looks wasted.....
  5. I agree with you on the shipping charges. Then again, it'd cost a lot more to drive out there and pick them up myself.
  6. If you don't want to use your Disc 1 or a disc image, you can order a USB key direct from Laminar: http://www.x-plane.c...ore/x-plane_10/ Or from the org $24.99
  7. And if you prefer to fly online with other pilots without ATC, you could try NetFlight or X-FlightServer: http://netflight.sir.../NetFlight.html http://x-flightserver.net/ But PilotEdge has professional quality controllers if you're looking for a very immersive and realistic experience. They even have a series of ratings flights that will teach you almost everything you need to know to communicate with ATC and navigate through the SoCal, and soon NorCal, air space.
  8. Heh! Just a friendly poke in the ribs, Goran. (I suppose I should have put a in there) I'm in no hurry for either the DC-3, the 340 or even the Beaver. They'll be out when they're out and I'll love 'em when I get 'em.
  9. It will be interesting to see which one comes out first....the 2000 or the 340. The release of the 340 has been "imminent" for quite some time now.....
  10. jamesbaby286, apparently you have missed this whole section of the forums: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/forum/77-saab-340/
  11. I want it! I want it! I want it! I want it NOW!
  12. Finally! A tail dragger from Carenado! http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/index.php
  13. I'm not a video guy so I apologize for the lack of music and camera technique, but I'm happy with this landing at KIFP this morning. Flown on PilotEdge:
  14. That's interesting since the log.txt file is overwritten every time you start up X-Plane. Still doesn't make sense to me. Any of our X-Plane gurus have any thoughts on this? I'm always learning and curious about how X-Plane works.
  15. I took the Moo up for a quick pattern at KSCK last night. What a joy to fly with all my Saitek gear. I bought the MU2 back when I was flying with only a mouse and she was a joy then, but now, with rudder pedals, radios, throttle quadrant and yoke, she's a blast! Just need to remember how to trim her for takeoff now. Looking forward to the update, but still in love with the original!
  16. That doesn't sound right. It sounds like you deleted your preferences, rather than your log.txt. Deleting your log.txt will not change the performance of X-Plane. At least not that I know of. My understanding is that it records what X-Plane is doing, but doesn't have anything to do with the performance. Your preferences tell X-Plane how and what you want it to do. It tells X-Plane how your buttons and controls are set up, where your last flight ended and which aircraft you were flying. If you happen to change the location of the aircraft folder of the last used aircraft, the next time you open X-Plane, it will not be able to find the aircraft and will give you the error message. It will then load the default plane so you can still fly.
  17. Brilliant! Are you sure these aren't photos of the real world Beaver?
  18. Couldn't have said it any better, Derek! Simply beautiful work, Pete! If she flies HALF as good as she looks she'll be a dream!
  19. Larjeet, What app is that on the iPhone/iPod?
  20. I'd be second! Maybe even first! I have two USB keys for 9.7. One that stays in my USB hub and the other goes with me in my laptop bag.
