  1. We are simulating 10.7. Jan
  2. Hi and thanks for the input. We never used a derated take-off on my airline, so I was not sure how the real behaviour is, and the manual isn´t quite clear on it. If you can provide me with a reference where selecting a "full power-no TASS" takeoff at the TO-1 or TO-2 derate shows R-TO on the TMA, I would be grateful and we will change this in the future. After all, nothing should remind you that this is not the real thing! Thanks, Jan
  3. Hi and thanks for the feedback - I will try to reproduce the fluctuation with lower FPS. We had some problems with that one initially, and maybe we can tweak some more... The Wing-Anti-Ice won´t open on the ground - so you will just see the "bright blue" until you lift off (unless you utilize the ground-test function, but that will only work for a few seconds, then the thermal protection will close it again). Also note that you are not allowed to use the APU for wing-anti-icing - it is placing too much stress on the APU. However, it should operate the valve, I will look into that. Can you send me another screenshot of the valve failing to operate during flight when pressurized by the APU? Thanks, Jan
  4. Yes, plenty of information related to its function occurs. The function is so developed and not a failure. Jan
  5. Ah, yeah, that one. You have to push it to show "fuel used" (it will switch back to fuel flow after a short while). Jan
  6. Hmm, I am not quite sure where the button referred to is located...? Jan
  7. The software version we simulate can not do this. So your statement of "all 737´s FMC...." is wrong. Oh, and don´t post in the acknowledged thread. We move stuff in here once it is acknowledged. We need to weed out the uninformed posts from the genuine bug reports - a process you are witnessing right now . Happy landings, Jan
  8. I beg to disagree as well - the post I quoted was specifically mentioning the performance problem you experience while you MOD a route - and it disappears if you EXECute the mod. I am sure you missed this at a cursory glance, like I am prone to do when skimming over threads. The problem you experience is certainly not outweighing every other topic, and if you look at the many videos out there on YouTube you may find that the problem varies from computer to computer and is also very differently perceived by users - as in some consider it a total showstopper, some don´t notice it at all. We are very concerned with this problem that some are having and are determined to cure it - but it is not an easy fix and may take a while. Don´t mistake that for us not caring, though, we do! Jan
  9. No, this is a different issue and can be cured by adding an exception to your active virus scanner (exclude XP Folder from Windows Defender, Avast, etc.) Cheers, Jan
  10. Create exception for virus scanner (except X-Plane folder from real-time scanning like Windows Defender or Avast or such...) Jan
  11. Hi Jürgen, have you checked if your thrust levers are fully at "idle"? This is a requirement for the autobrake to work... For the RTO to function, you need to be faster than 90kts...below that it will simply DISARM. Thanks, Jan
  12. Frumpy is right - there is no way to navigate according to "true north" for the majority of GA aircraft (and only very few big airliners can switch to "true" indication), so the problem would just be offloaded to the pilots (what magnetic heading do I need to fly to track the 170 deg true radial???) Jan
  13. Hi chock, There is only HI IDLE and LOW IDLE on the 737 Classic. Hi idle is always active while in the air, and it varies with airspeed and altitude. Low idle is active on the ground (4 secs after touchdown, so you have better acceleration of the engine for reverse thrust). Therefore you will not see any RPM change upon selection of anti-ice (like on the bad Airbus). The anti-ice valves are "electrically controlled, but pneumatically operated" - so if you don´t have any pressure, they will not move anymore. So if the engine is shut down (not delivering pressure) the valves can´t move - but they "want to", so the "transit" (or disagreement) light is on if you move the switch. Will look at the fluctuation again - it could be due to your low framerate - can you try and increase it (by reducing rendering options) to 30+ and see if the problem persists? Thanks again for the input, Jan
  14. Question: Can you "click" the buttons (invisible)? Thanks, Jan
  15. Thanks for the short movie, Michael. We are still trying to figure out what exactly one has to do to get it to act weird like that. I don´t get this reliably, only once in a while. Cheers, Jan
  16. Thanks for the report, Michel! Sometimes there is an (erroneous) certain turn direction specified for a waypoint (like "right turn after CRI"), we will check the database to see what it is all about. Jan
  17. Hi and happy you got it to work - for the lagging please add an exception of the X-Plane folder to your virus-scanner (Windows Defender, Avast, etc.) - that should stop the lagging. Jan
  18. Slide them all the way to full. Jan
  19. Not a glitch - this is the N1 limit indicator and not the flight-phase indicator. It shows what maximum power the engines COULD go if needed. Not this model. The SPD INTV and ALT INTV are features that are not available on all Classics, and we chose to omit them to keep things a bit simpler. Jan
  20. Maybe it is a bug - but at least not our fault...
  21. Can´t really say anything about how these guys do it - except that I wouldn´t do it . It IS possible that they are running a higher FMS standard that will not allow A/T activation on the ground, I simply don´t know. Jan
  22. Yeah, this is an issue we are still having - the symbols will be drawn on the straight line between your airplane and the next waypoint - we don´t take curvature of the magenta into account yet. It is on the list of things to eventually get to, for now you can just fly "direct to" the current waypoint again when you are flying straight to it and the T/D should be on the magenta... Jan
  23. Hi and thanks for the kind words! We have a thread here: http://forums.x-pilot.com/forums/topic/8526-things-that-are-not-going-to-be-in-v10/ that is attempting to warn people of the things we are still missing. I am going to update this thread with every patch until it is all stricken out . I also flew DI´s Tornado (including Desert Storm) and about every FlightSimulator out there since the mid-80s (remember MicroProse? Jane´s? F-16 Combat Pilot?). The secret with Tornado was to manually fly below 100´ - no SAMs would ever launch! Happy flying, Jan
  24. You know I am not allowed to drink something to calm my hands when flying.... Jan
  25. Yes - the first push of the TOGA button will set a reduced go-around power. You can verify this by the FMA showing GA. Pushing a second time will give you full go-around power (N1). Jan
